Gosh my son is something else. I happened to make the statement that I didn't mind that his dad might be staying in Kokomo to work on the house.
Instead of coming home and celebrating our anniversary, because I don't really feel like celebrating right now. I will in a week or so hopefully with all kinds of reasons. But he makes the comment, he didn't mean to get hurt on my anniversary. Gosh as if he meant to get hurt at all. Now I am not sure if I should just take him to Urgent care or wait. They thought it was his hand, and its okay. Per trainer and the nurse that was there for the dress thing going on tonight. But now its turning out to be more the whole arm, or closer to the elbow. So I'm not sure what to think. If its something more wrong. He isn't a complainer. So this bothers me. But I think I'll wait and see what happens as the night goes on. I don't think they would do a thing tonight anyway. They would have him wait till tomorrow. He is more worried about what will happen at work on Saturday. Ugh, I keep telling him we will work it out as it comes. Donna |

Dear Donna,
Well i would feel awkward saying Happy Anniversary when clearly it has not been happy. But please accept my CONGRATULATIONS. Then when you celebrate we can wish you happy belated anniversary. that could work. I'm sorry Derrick got hurt somehow. I hope this will get figured out - well I know it will. THe body has a way of making its issues known, even if at first they are not obvious. Sometimes pain does not come out right away, because in response to physical damage the brain releases endorphins that kills the pain. Later, as inflammation increases and the endorphins subside what is wrong makes itself felt, even it if is not visible. However, do please take him to the ER right away if you have doubts. (I am not clear on what happened here.) He might need an Xray... something might be broken and need to be set... I have a concern that if nothing is visibly out of place yet he is gradually experiencing some pain, he might have cracked something. As for his being sorry to get hurt on your anniversary, it's funny to hear it from someone else, but I can relate. I often feel guilty for my migraines and how they inconvenience others, even if I can't stop them. I get to thinking about how I might have been able to prevent or lessen the impact on others. Anyway, talk to him, if you haven't, but I know he'll be ok. He's got a good head on his shoulders. It just was not a good coincidence for either of you in this sense. I wish Derrick well and I really hope also for your sake that things become clearer and he gets appropriate treatment if necessary, so that this worry can be lifted. You have so many worries. Again congratulations. 32 years is nothing to sneeze at. I know, what if you looked at it this way: think of this is a typical day that exemplifies the struggles you've been through in 32 years, and along comes your child with his heart of gold - which he got from you - to remind you why it was so worth it ... andthensome. ~ waves ~ |

Donna,
Congratulations on 32 years of marriage. That is so great. At least you have a family to worry about. Look at it that way. I hope you and your husband are able to celebrate in some way tonight and again on a better day. So sorry that your son was hurt today. Hope things are resolved quickly. Brain

Once again you hit it on the nose. He has a cracked radial arm. Which is in the elbow. I had a feeling it was in the elbow. I've had enough things happen to my own elbow I really knew the way he was acting. So I took him in the last hour our urgent care was open. To be seen. The doctor went up the arm. To see where it hurt the most. I think he knew exactly what was wrong. He knew when he hit the worstplace. He is a great kid. And right now more worried about his classes. I keep telling him, they will figure it out. WHich I know they will. We are veing referred to a Ortho. Either to see tomorrow or Tuesday. Donna |

I want off this rollercoaster. Today I spent the day in the ER with Sabrina.
They believe she either passed a kidney stone. OR its hiding right now. Ugh, not sure she will not be right back there. Not sure I cared for the doctor. Donna |

I am sorry, Donna!
I wish things were easier. I hope Sabrina's kidney stone broke down. Sometimes they do break down and are passed. I'm sending you some good wishes, and Derrick too for his elbow. I am feeling like I'd like to throw stuff right now. Something has just got me very upset. ~ waves ~ |

Thanks Mari
Derrick did great at school on Friday. But was in lots of pain at home. I didn't tell him it was because he over did it for the day. I had made up my mind he wasn't going to work. But it technically wasn't my call. But he finally with a little help. Chose to not go to work on Saturday. There is still so much pain in the arm. That he is still icing it at least 3 times a day as it was suggested. We did go to town for a while on Saturday. To buy him some shoes that he could just slip on. And some shirts that he can just put on over the one he has on. So we did do somethings. I owe him a hair shampoo. I was going to take him today. But I think I'll suggest we do that right before his appointment Tuesday. I just don't want to go back to town now that its snowed. And we are supposed to get so much more. Ugh. Donna |
