Beach

Hi,

Monday night hubby and I went to the beach.
The road was closed/roped off due to construction so we could not go to our usual spot. Hubby liked the new spot because there were very few people.
It was low tide and we had a half moon with lots of wind and 80 degrees.

Tuesday I see the new pdoc.
I made a list of things to remember to bring with me later --- things like his phone number in case I get lost, and things like my med bottles from the old pdoc, . . .

Best wishes for today!

I am glad you and hubby got to the beach, Mari. :)

Good idea to make a list of things to bring with you to the new pdoc. I hope that you click with him and that he is helpful.

I am thinking of you and hoping everything goes smoothly for you today: driving, parking, waiting, and not least, meeting the new pdoc! :)

feeling rushed

I should have plannned better.

I am leaving late.

This is what i have

--meds: Verapamil, Klonopin, Gabapentin --- is there somethign else I take????????
I grabbed randome bottles with randome dates but they show the name of old pdoc and that is what I feel I need.

--map

--list of recent ( three yrs) of past med failures

=======
I do not know his phone number. Probably it is in my phone because they called to confirm yesterday.

I wish I had a better Kloonpin bottle. The one I have has a date from months ago and looks like I hoard.

checking in...

Dear Mari

What you have sounds good. To the best of my knowledge, those are all your prescription meds. I believe you also take an aspirin daily? Something to mention, which you need not bring, however.

It will be ok even if you can't find another Klonopin bottle.

If you have time to look for one showing a more recent date, fine. If not - or if you don't have one - try not to worry. What if you removed some pills from it? I don't know how many are in it. But maybe only leave 3 or 4 in there.

It will be ok. Focus on getting there now. One thing at a time.

And, breathe.

Hi, Waves,

He is very serious and seems to be thorough.
He did not know about the Verspamil but seemed to remember without letting on that he did not know.

I cannot write in all caps but I would like to so pretend that I for the next past:
He had two psych med students in the room with us so I imagine my experience of who he is would have been different without the there.

+++++
He asked questions and took notes for 30 mins and then spent 5 mins wring scripts. He asked what type Verspamil so I pulled out my bottle. That was the only time any bottle came out of my purse.
I did not ask any questions but I told him I was concerned about paresthia but he said Lamictal would be ok for me.

He wrote a script for blood work:
B12
folic acid
CBC
Lipid profile
Cmp
Tsh
T3
T6

Klonopin 75 pills

At my request, he wrote a script for 2 1 /2 Klonopin the way the old pdoc did.

Mari

It sounds like a very good through meeting. I hope it continues to be that way.

Good luck with this one.
