Donna and others in the storm paths be safe! Prayers for those that's lost homes or businesses. I hope there were minimal injuries.
Gosh, I hate how these winter systems can hit us fast. Weird weather his last year. Floods, heat, draughts, freaky.
It's midnight and 60*s.

We are catching the wind in the mountains as the system moves East tonight. I think I am glad I did not hang the decorations during the nice weather. If. Had thy would be all over the yard.

That is a relief.

Great news! Ours blinked, a transformer or two blew from trees taking them down lighting up the sky. Some people were still without power. The gust, howling winds and pelting rain kept me up. Glad it turned out to be a nice day..but the temps dropped again

Hello Di I was concerned about that storm about 24 hours ago also. I have this NOAA radio that was beeping, and it said(((Severe Thunderstorm watch))) I also went to the computer site(((Noaa Mosaic Loop))),and the waves of rain were headed my way,but I could see that It was more energized in the North Eastern part of the country. I could tell that it was hitting your area much harder. The storm went over us here, and there wasn't much of a problem. It was nice seeing the Sun on Monday. BF:hug::hug::hug:

:grouphug:We still have lots of people without electricity.

And they are opening more shelters and providing hot food.

I hope they get their electricity and heat soon.

Hey Bizi According to my research, there are two seasons in the Philippines. The Philippines are basically located in a tropic location. The two seasons are the wet season, and the dry season.

There are higher altitudes in some locations, but based on temperature, the seven warmest months of the year are March to October. The Winter brings the coolest air from November to February. May is the warmest month, and January is the coolest. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Di. This reminded me of that song "The Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot.

He was singing about the weather, and that ship wreck happened,"....when the gales of November come early" around Lake Superior. The Native Americans had a name for it. BF:hug::hug::hug:

I remember that song Steve, weather is such a powerful force. We had the squalls come through just after sunset tonight. The road in front of our house was closed from accidents. The wind and cold are hitting us now. The wind chill is single digits.

We need to check the generator out and keep fuel in case of really bad weather this week again. Wednesday is calling for a snow system. What about your way Steve? Will the weather affect you this week?

Time to trough another blanket on and add socks. 10* out not counting wind chill.

Hi Di. It's getting close to 9 AM Sunday morning. The temperature here is 28 degrees, and there are wind gusts, but not to bad.

The temperature is expected to be cooler this week then it was last week. I don't anticipate it being a big problem here.

I'm sorry that the weather is producing wind, squalls, and snow up there. Please stay as warm as you can. BF:hug::hug::hug:
