This is so funny. I use to work in a supermarket as you all know. People sort of panic, and have that mob type shopping crowd, type of thing, when they hear that they may have(((Endless Snow, and single digit temperatures))). That kind of weather is"no fun" for a supermarket staff either. BF

Steve

That is what is going on in my neck of the woods right now.

Many of the grocery stores are running out of things.

And I've been hearing of gas stations running out of gas.
Now that isn't good.

I'm not looking forward to the storm we are expecting.

Ugh, Derrick is at a friends in town. She is taking him
to work tomorrow.

She already had to take her son.

To his job.

Hi, Donna,

Make sure those sons of yours keep in touch and stay as close as they can to each other and to you.

The gas station thing worries me too.
We had storms during which we had plenty of gas, but no electricity at the stations to pump it into the cars.

Take good care.

I agree.

My youngest son, is with a friend snowed in Lafayette.

He stayed there last night. So he could go to work
today. They ended up closing to the public so he is
being picked up at 12:30. Then his poor provider
couldn't get out of his yard. He is snowed in.

My friend is going to get him.

Glad I have such a good friend.

One son lives right next door. He borrowed, not returning my
shovel. Which is definitely okay now. Derrick was the one shoveling.

My other son and grandson are down the road. And I talked to
him on the internet last night.

Hi, Donna,

You have great sons.

Are schools and work closed for Monday?

Heart

The brutal sub zero temps came up a bit this afternoon, but it only made the raind come down as freezing hitting the roads. Really bad this evening. Tomorrow a warmer day, then a few days of the coldest temps. It was only 9* for a high yesterday, overnight it had been -9* below.

I guess we are all going to feel the affects by Monday and Tuesday of the rediculous cold.

Ugh...then the Governor attached a gas tax the first of the year and gas went up another dime.
I haven't had much work the last year, nothing like the prior two with the floods. My entire year I only made what I did thre months the prior two years. Tightening the blt, turning down the heat, adding an extra blanket and cat to the bed,

Be safe and warm all,

Yes, Steve,
There are probably other industries that have to deal with people not acting like their best selves.
On the other hand, people do pull together when there is a crisis -- those same panicked people in the supermarket will help someone later in the day who is in need because of the weather / conditions.

Self survival kicks in when I see bad weather on it's way also. I'm one of the panicking folks also when I see bad weather coming.

It's suppose to get really cold on Tuesday, and Tuesday night. I have bottled water,in door propane heaters, propane, food, and other things in stock. I live way out in the country. My car has a full tank of gas. BF

Steve,

If you have gas for the car, in door propane for heat, water, food, and misc, then you are in good shape.
Keep you and your cat (is it one?) calm.
