Hi, Steve,

I am sorry that you are hurting.

I believe that you are right about allergies.

While we wait for our doctors to get interested in this, we have to take care of ourselves.

I wish that our counselors could impart healing to us as we go through the talk during therapy. Sometimes I leave the counselors office hurting more then when I came in. That's my usual experience.

Some people may get a healing experience, but who are the ones being cured? I'd like to talk to a cured person who has had a major mental health disorder, and they don't have it anymore for like about a 20 year period of time.

After decades,I don't think that allot of counseling works permanently. The medications help though. It seems like a counselor's help is temporary.

Who knows. They may come out with a better group of medications. I hope so.

How can they counsel what developed from the family genetic disorder? They can help us get a grip on the experience. I guess that they can help us steer through the problems. Then sometimes we feel better then other times. Sometimes the anxiety disorder changes a little, and is confusing, and keeps you wondering as to what is going on. Sometimes things pile up,and dread happens, but it stops after a brief setback.

There are different types, and depths of emotional problems, and mental health issues. Counselors should help us to get better, but not imply that we are not going to have the problems anymore down the road. It seems to be a life time of struggle. So many people without Mental Health struggles have no idea what we are going through.

We can get stronger through these experiences, and the medications can reduce the manifested anxiety combination. We do get stronger, and understand allot more about what's going on in life then people who don't have our struggles.

Scientists definitely need to find out about the anxiety, and allergy combination. To me,it's like a one,two punch. Sometimes I have a allergy attack, and end up with allot of anxiety,or vise-versa. BF

Hi, Steve,

I am guessing that lots of counseling is not permanent for the seriously ill (like me). But finding a counselor is hard.

Yes. They will.

There probably are many links between anxiety and allergies but maybe there is no strong agreement among the researchers.

Such thoughtful posts, Steve and Mari.

Just popping in to say that I am reading ... and nodding my head, "Yes, yes."

to both of you. I know you are both struggling in different and similar ways these days. I hope better days come along soon for you both.

Thank you Mari, and Waves. I'm doing better today. When it came to the fourth of July this year, and had bad memories of working on them in the past.

I don't know why it bothered me so bad. It may be a form of PTSD about the past, and remembering abuses at work subconsciously, and very deep down. I must have been in allot of pain yesterday. Thank you all for the help. BF

Also,I hope that anxiety, and allergy researchers come together, and realize that there is a two fold problem.

It could be half,or two thirds of the people who have anxiety also have allergies, and allergy related problems. They may be able to help people more deeply if they find out why. BF

Dear Steve,

I am glad that today is a bit better. Holidays can be hard.

Steve,

I have an old (1987) book called Nutrition and Mental Illness that has a chapter about allergies.
The author took an nutritional approach -- people with sensitivities stop wheat and dairy, . . .
He thought that most people needed to supplement with zinc, Vit 6, Vit B6, manganese, . . . .

It will be good if we had someone like him working on these things now.
I try to remember to take Fish Oil.

Red face

I received my order of omega 3 tg from real dose essentials.
3 capsules contain 2.4 grams of omega 3's, the highest dose with the fewest number of capsules. So I am happy about that.
I don't remember posting last night...sigh too much to drink.
