I am glad you found a doc. Sorry to hear about the migraines. I get them too. (There is significant comorbidity with bipolar - I read this years ago.) I often get one spanning 24 hours-ish. Occasionally one will run 3 days but I've not had one longer than that. I've had successive ones without break, but I figure they are separate attacks if they switch sides (not sure on that). A severe migraine attack lasting more than 72 hours is considered status migrainosus: http://ihs-classification.org/en/02_..._migraine.html You should go to urgent care or ER for this. I don't know what they do - probably give you a shot to stop it. I hope you find a neuro soon. I also need a new one. Mine is too far away and there were other issues too. waves |
