Poll Tgif - Weekend Check In.............

HAPPY WEEKEND TO ALL.

PLEASE CHECK IN, HOW ARE YOU DOING, FEELING, WHAT'S UP, ETC.......

I am just doing things around the house. Going to color my mom's hair today.
Probably spend time at the pool this weekend, in the high 90's.

No night time plans, just time for myself. Sounds selfish? Well, I need the night time to just chill and have some down time to relax. Doing lots of thinking.

Hugs to all...................................Nikko:

Hi Nikko, sounds like you've got some good quality 'me time' coming up and that's awesome, everyone needs to have some 'me time' every now and then. I am doing good, we're going to visit family this weekend and it's going to be somewhat stressful because it's a two hour drive there and two hours back. I hope it goes over well, Jackie is okay for driving short distances, but he usually gets upset over a longer trip. We'll just have to see how it goes.

But I am not really looking forward to it because of the driving involved.

Have fun on your get-a-away.......I know the feeling about long rides.

After my move in 2004 across country, oh how I hate long rides, because that was one long haul....eeekkkkkkkk

Enjoy.......Nikko

Red face

perfect time to tell you of the moving trip we made from Indiana to arizona.
Talk about an adventure.
A big U-haul, pulling a trailer with the jeep on it and the cats and birds
in the jeep on the trailer. I was driving my little CRX honda.
Driving across the country took about 4 days as we took our time.
The first night we tried to sleep all together...that was the biggest joke...
We never let the cats sleep with us nor the birds...we could not sleep due to all of the rucus from the birds being hunted by the cats and the cats walking all over us and talking up a storm.....it was awful and comical...we just gave up and left in the early morning.
the next night we registered for 2 rooms way apart from each other, so the pets had their own room!
what a great story!
anyway.
After each big move I have made...I crash.
The stress of packing and moving and finding a new job and getting aquainted with the new environment, these big changes in my routine usually send me over the edge.
I hope that we get to stay here forever!
So be careful Pamster!
bizi

Well this evening we are planning to go to another art walk this time out of town. It is also a pot luck so we have to bring something to contribute to the meal...hubby is fixing the dish..said something about sausage.
We saw Marsh Ball sing last night at the "Rhythems on the river", an outdoor music concert.
What fun!
She is from New Orleans and is a jazzy/rag time/bluesy singer....we even danced alittle bit....or should I say we tried to dance...lol.
For dinner we had packed a popeyes chicken dinner picnic and sat in our folding chairs....
When we got home, I looked up the calories in the chicken ....I never knew that it was so fattening!!!!...over 1000 calories for just the chicken I ate.
Plus I had red beans and rice and a biscuit...well I was stuffed.
It will be a long time before I want to eat there again!
But it was so good!
anyway...
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend,
bizi

Hi Nikko, Pam, and Bizi.

Nikko, I wish I could go out tonight as I sit home alone every night. I can see though where staying at home would be nice.

Pam, I hope your trip this weekend is stress free.

Bizi, I enjoyed you story. It brought a smile to my lips.

I plan to go visit a friend this weekend.

Wow that is a great story bizi! But I bet I crash after this move too from all the stress of worrying about taking care of things. I am glad at times like these that I can't work. Taking care of my family is my full time job. Thanks everyone for the support and well wishes, it makes me feel so good to know I can count on my friends here to be here for me when I need it. And I love being here for each of you when you need it. Friendship is a two way street.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Thank you Barbara, it's kind of an old picture but I have my hair that short again. I like your picture too, I decided to go with mine because of yours.

Hi everybody. Hopefully the rest of the weekend will be less hectic than tonight was. Our community had our 11th annual Relay for Life tonight. I always participate because my daughter is a brain tumor survivor, but I also have to go to cover it for the paper I work for. The past three years it has rained and been miserable, but today was GORGEOUS. It got cold after the sun went down, but no rain! I did well this year, only cried a little bit.

Its been an interesting week - I am trying to phase out of my job at the paper because I have a new part time at a docs office working the front desk. I love it, and I must be doing okay, because the practice manager told me they wanted to clone me. I hope this will be a positive change. Since our editor died a year and a half ago, the atmosphere at the paper has really gone downhill and its been hard to get through some days. Now if I can just get the new editor to leave me alone...

Hope everybody has a safe and happy weekend.
