Yeah, I've been feeling better finally. The doctor started me on two new proton pump inhibitors (I think that's what they both are) and I stopped drinking soda 4 days ago. So...my stomach is feeling much better. The blood work came back with a positive hit for antibodies for H Pylori.
 Got an upper endoscopy set up in a few days, and so if they find something to biopsy, they will, and then the next step is to get me on some antibiotics that will attack that bacteria. I really hate that I have this crap! BUT I am hoping the aversion I developed to meat will get better as the medications work. So far the burning and pain is gone now. So that's good. Anyway, things are better, and I haven't sewn any more as I've been working on a cool tunic blouse for Mom. It's not easy though and we hope to finish it soon. Hope you're all doing well, I wanted to check in and let you all know how things have been.

Well unfortunately this was just the blood work results, it showed I have the antibodies for it, which means I either have it now or have had it in the past. IF they find something in the upper endoscopy they will biopsy it and then culture it and we'll see if it turns up H Pylori in that result, then they'll know which strain I have and tailor my treatment accordingly. I asked the endoscopy doc to check the past results they've done for me, like in 2011, and it was negative for H Pylori. So I dunno.
We're working on the tunic today after lunch, so IF we finish it I'll be sure to post a pic or two.  As for when I eat meat, the problem is like with leaner meat, I can eat fattier red meat but my other half likes the 96% lean ground beef which I cannot even get past my teeth, I mean I literally cannot make myself swallow it or I'll throw up. It's AWFUL. I never used to have this problem....THought it was related to depakote but it wasn't. And then my prilosec stopped helping and they started me on two different meds and did the blood work to check for the bacteria. I'll keep you all posted.

They will sedate you right? thinking of you this weekend. That is really strange about your aversion to lean beef. Alot of people can't handle the fat. thankful that I am not one of them. Be well pammie. ((((HUGS)))) bizi
