Bizi,
Normally a sewing machine has a pressure foot. A ruffle foot is designed to make pleats / gathers/ ruffles: http://www.amazon.com/Brother-Genuin.../dp/B006Z9ZS52 Here is a youtube. At 5.15 you can see the ruffles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLiQq9YMfy4 I guess Pammie will stop by and tell us about hers M |

Awesome project!! I have a real good Husqvarna embroidery machine and am self-teaching myself how to use it!! Haven't gotten to do any quilts yet, but I made aprons for me, my daughter-in-law and my granddaughter out of feed bags from our chicken feed bags that we can use when we are cleaning out our chicken coop!! Never thought I would be raising chickens, let alone making these aprons, but I love it! We raise them just as pets and for their eggs!!
