Well good news and bad news on the long-term disablity front. I got tired of waiting and called again.
![]() Since there was no actual job to speak about and it was just generalities this is all the information I could get. *If my pain doc clears me to work, I get no benefits at all. Therefore I loose half my income. *The other senario is that he only clears me for part-time and I can still get partial benefits. *What this all depends on is what the job entails, what I will be earning and what my hours are. Now my past job was very technical work (I worked at a telecommunications company) and worked full time. It was semi-sedentary, but I was up and down alot with some heavy lifting once a week. This new job would be basic front office/receptionist work in a medical environment. Basically demoting myself and startng all over again. So now I know both sides. I called Todd and let him know so it all depends on what is said in a couple of weeks. So now as I said to Pam....its time to hurry up and wait. ![]()

I'll keep you in my prayers Wendy, I just know what ever happens it will work out the best for you. Even if this job isn't the one there will be other offers. But your health comes first. I know I don't have to tell you that, because you're well aware of the situation because you DEFINITELY have done your home work. Way to go on figuring out the pros and cons of taking this job, so that now when you go in again you can see what the answer will be, yes part time and keep benefits, or full time and be something you can't be cleared for, either way you don't lose anything, you are still the same wonderful woman either way and if you feel like working now if your pain doc does decide to clear you for work you just might find an awesome job.
I was contacted on the phone about this job service recently and think it might be worht mentioning: http://www.nticentral.org/ It seems to be down at the moment so try it later, it's a work from home based thing with jobs at the IRS-phone jobs that start at about 8 an hour, I don't know if that would be something you would be interested in or not because I know my son would be yelling in the background of any call like he does now so it wouldn't work for me, they'd be like, "WHy is there a screaming child at the IRS office? ![]()

I'm wishing the best for you with this job possibility and perhaps somehow it can work to not negatively affect anything. befuddled2 |
