Very glad that you are back and got to have your ice cream. ![]() ![]() ![]() That stuff is so disorientating to me. I do what I can to stay out of panic mode. . . . . the failure in the expectation of being connected to the civilized parts of society (freezer, internet, fan) . . . . that makes me feel lost/ abandoned/ disconnected/all but fearful. Either way I would feel inconvenienced, but being told a head of time would help me feel that the word I depend upon will be back . . . .it is just not available to me at the moment. Thus I can be patient instead of a freakout. === Years ago -- the first night in a brand new appt with a roommate -- the t.v. announced a "boil water alert" in our new neighborhood due to a mess up in local pumping station, , , . . .(whatever). I did not see myself "BOILING" water ( ![]() ![]() ![]() My roommate thought I was nuts to go out in the late-ish evening for something that would be settled by the a.m. BUT what if I wanted more water than we already had in the place? (Maybe I am revealing how whiny I am.) M |
