The tropical storm Erica in the Caribbean might turn into a hurricane.
At any rate, I have to go buy more water later today.  When I told Mom and Dad that we had a three-day supply of water, Mom said more water is aways better. My hope is that we miss work on Monday. M Last edited by Mari; 08-28-2015 at 04:24 AM. |

In the last few hours the storm's projected path moved closer to us.
I did not get out for the water or gas for my car yet. There might be crazy crowds out on the roads when I do get out. M |

Here is how my day went
-pick up meds at pharmacy -go to store near pharmacy that has good croissants and strawberries -go to regular grocery store for fresh and dried fruit, 2 gallons of water, some other stuff -fill up car with gas -realize that I left atm card at pharmacy  -drive back to pharmacy in rush hour traffic At home: -freak out about ants (alive and dead) -get hubby to vacuum dead ants. -keep tabs on the storm M |

The 5:00 am report from the weather folks has the tropical storm again tracking closer.
It was good that I spent some time preparing. |

We are getting rain and thunder.
Power went out once so far while I was trying to type this. Some areas will get two to four inches of rain through Sunday evening. I am still hoping for a day off of work on Monday -- -- because that is how I have been pacing myself since this started about four days ago. I bought on amazon a battery operated old fashioned am/fm radio in case there is another storm (The only radio we have is hand cranked and it does not work well.) M |
