Opera

I could not sleep last night -- so weird because that almost NEVER happens.

Anyway, we have opera tickets to see Bizet's The Pearl Fishers tonight.

The baritone and the tenor pledge to stay friends and not let anything get between them.

Lara 03-14-2015 04:47 PM

It sounds wonderful Mari.

I hope you enjoy the opera. I've never in my entire life been to the Opera but always wanted to do that. Usually the cost here is unrealistic.

I have been to the ballet so many times but maybe one day I'll get to see an Opera. The logistics involved for me would prove painful especially in a crowded theatre etc.. Long story.

I have seen full operas on tv of course and I just love the costumes and the theatrical aspects.

Please let us know how it was.

Mari 03-14-2015 10:56 PM

The Pearl Fishers

We were almost late because the cleaning lady wouldn't leave.
I told her a few days ago that we would pay her the same we usually do but that she had to leave at _______ time so that we could get to the opera.

----
I had three different CD collections of it so that I could listen to it for the past few weeks.
. . . .

The live version tonight was pretty close to the versions of the CDs.
It was great.
I enjoyed the sets and costumes too.

I am so glad that you enjoyed the opera,
how did hubby do?
bizi

Mari 03-17-2015 02:37 AM

Hubby unnecessary complicating how I handle my days and nights

Hubby's paranoia kicked in while I was at work so he changed both
our wifi name AND our password.
:hissyfit:
When I got home the computer had no access to the wifi and I had no idea what was going on.
He thinks this stuff is an ffing game . . . talks about it with laughter and smiles. :mfr_wha:
AND the name and PW he chose are long and complicated . . .
. . . .too complicated for me to remember so we put them on paper in our special drawer for this kind of stuff.

We each have multiple devices that require wifi.
All of mine I use heavily for work.

He is such a jerk.
I told him that next time he wants to randomly complicate my life and my anxiety, We Will Do The Password Together.
So far I have changed three devices and have two or three more to go.

There are not enough words for me to talk about this  :hissyfit: :boy(sad):

Hi Mari. Yes. I wonder what people are thinking when they do things like that. I've had family members do things like that.....Why did he/she do that???!!! BF:hug::hug::hug:

bizi 03-17-2015 05:45 AM

sorry that he is like this, sounds very very hard to deal with.

I just have to change passwords and all when we switch routers.

So I've been lucky and its something others can fix on mine. The
newest code doesn't like me personally. It never lets me enter it.

tv showing unrealistic emergency mental illness

Hi,

A t.v. show I watched today showed a central character going nuts/fighting.
The family called the medical team to handle him / take him away.

The team knocked him to the ground and gave him a shot.
According to the t.v., he was out within 4 seconds.

In real life it takes TWENTY minutes and even then the person is not completely out -- just kind of sleepy.

Hey Mari. Some of these TV programs are just shows. This is a part of Cable TV failing the public. It's starting to really show. BF:hug::hug::hug:

The neighbors have a barky dog tonight. We share a wall with them so it is annoying.

I wonder what is going on with the poor doggy.

M

Mari 03-21-2015 02:42 AM

The dog started back up.

'Wonder why he is agitated

Hey Mari.

Noise like a barking dog can cause terrible anxiety. I hope that the dog stops barking. BF:hug::hug::hug:

It is sort of a little bark.

I am concerned about him.

Thanks, Bizi,

I have a humongous 5 and a half week work project that is taking my energies. I will have to consume myself with it to get it done one time.

Brokenfriend 03-22-2015 02:37 AM

Hey Mari. I listened to the song, but my mind wondered. I was thinking that there should be a (4 AM, to 7 AM blues forum),and how to deal with that time in the morning. Those hours are the most uncomfortable hours for me if I'm awake. Those hours are very lonely for me.

I've heard people tell me that I'm lucky to be single. Well the flip side to that coin is the deep loneliness at night it can bring. TV has these informationals at that time of the morning on a lot of cable channels. That makes it worse sometimes. If I could lie down, and see a good movie,or show that I like,it would make things easier. Sometimes a good movie,or show doesn't help, and my mood is in a depressed state.

My cat wakes me up,or walks around meowing, and she wants more food, but not a hug. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Mari 03-22-2015 01:11 PM

Mari I know what you mean. TV programs on cable are so repetitive. Most of it is old shows showing over, and over, and over... A lot of them are bad the first time. Then when I change the channel,I land on commercial, after commercial. Can't win.

I'm depressed also. I hope that you feel better. Hang in there. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Sad. Emotional.

Wednesday so hard at work. Got a lot done and worked really really hard.

Wednesday night drove with w/ a work group to an event that was emotional and stressful.
Then, when I was driving on way home, I was wildly crying in the car and prayed to get home safely. Still crying. Can't calm myself even after taking my meds.

Lara 03-26-2015 04:29 AM

I'm sorry you had such a stressful day on top of everything else lately Mari. Have you slept at all?

Mari 03-26-2015 04:43 AM

No Sleep at all -- the same as most nights.

What is different is that I am agitated and upset and not feeling ok.

Lara 03-26-2015 04:53 AM

Mari, I wish there was some way that you could get sleep. I know you've had so much trouble sleeping for so long now. Agitated is not good. Your day must have been exhausting.

Is there anything you have done before to help you feel more calm when you feel like this? I'm sorry you have to deal with this night after night :(

mymorgy 03-26-2015 07:37 AM

i am so sorry you had to go through that.
