Dear Mrs. Bear,
My first thoughts are to believe him when he says he needs to be committed.
Trust him.
The hospital might even evaluate him and let him go -- or just put him on a short hold (do they do that with kids under 18?).

Then I think that you have been through similiar situations with him before and know him better than I do. At the very least, call his pdoc and let him know what Wes did last night and what he is saying.

I'm sorry that you and your family are going through this.
I'm happy that he is talking to you. That is great.
Sending hope.

Mari
