Poll WEEKEND CHECK IN/Went to PCP yesterday

Well, my PCP changed my migraine medicine to a newer one and also my pain medication for my neck and spine to a stronger one. That is wonderful news!

Also, a script for nasonex spray for my ear. I have to go for a cat scan of my sinus's, since they never did a facial/sinus scan when I was assaulted. It could possibly be a factor, since my headaches/migraines have got so severe since the assault last July.

She doesn't feel it is a bacterial sinusitis, because there is no drainage at all, but I am still taking the antibiotic from the Urgent Care place.

I see her again in a month to see how the new meds are working, have to call for cat scan appt., then wait for the results.

My ear is really the kicker. All I cqn say is OUCH, PAIN, CRY, the nasonex does help though and the hot clothes.

Other than feeling like crap for days on end lately from this and interruption of sleep.

Called the court yesterday to see if my soon to be ex went and filed an affadavid of default, since I am not contesting the divorce and he did NOT go, so I put a call into his PO. He probably doesn't even know he HAS to do this for the divorce to go forward. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR What a dope he is. His PO hasn't called me back yet.

STRESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SS

Dirk is great!!!!! I AM SO HAPPY WITH HIM

Well that's my story for check in..............temps are in the triple digits now.

Hugs, Nikko

I just looked up WHY they do facial/sinus cat scans, and what they can find, and I really wish I hadn't.

OMG

Nikko, they maybe ruling things out, not that you have something serious. But a blow could have fractured something maybe. BUT, did your head snapo like a whiplash..That may ahve incited your neck problems and incite cervogenic head pains. They come around the ehad toward the face.

Also, did you see the dentist recently, could you have an abscess tooth in the back, or any wisdom teeth issues.

When I ahd a cat scan for sinus, even though I did not have drainage they wanted to know what was making my asthma worse. I had a liong term infection low in the sinus. They treated with a sulfar medication and it went away.

YOUR EAR, do you have swimmers ear, the outside gets red and touching in it hurts. Different from inner ear where fluid developes. THis can be from bacteria in the pool. My one kiddo got one on vacation in Hershey PA, and I ended up in the ER the mille of the night from her pain.
They are terrible painful.
I hope you feel better for the weekend.

We are cool up here, after 90* this week it is not even 70* today. I looked awhile ago and it is 67 and no humidity. It is going down to 40's this weekend at night. YUCK!

I wish the holiday were Monday, seems odd to have just a day in the middle of the week.

Lots of housework to make a dent into today, maybe a trolly ride in Scranton tomorrow and work on Sunday, three cases, long day.
TGIF day all,
Di

Greetings,

I got annoyed after my therapy visit today.
I'm not sure why. My sister says that maybe the therapist "doesn't get" me since I don't come in on a regular schedule, come in with a different issue each time, and jump around with topics during the sessions.
(Yeah, and maybe I am a little difficult. )

As I write this I realize that I might stop going.
I had a fabulous therapist for 8 years. I trained him for the first 2 years. No lie. But I knew he was brilliant and would be worth it. He eventually became a wonderful therapist for me.

I'm not sure that I am up to training this therapist. She has potential. But my sleep schedule problem has gotten worse over the years and I don't think I have the time to spend with her.
I need to spend my daylight hours doing other things.

Howdy all!
Feeling kinda low since last night. BP kicked me right in the pants suddenly. Todd was going to go out and wash his car last night and I told him I was feeling low so he took me out for a ride too. It helped but not as much as he or I wished.
Enough about me....
Nikko! ICK! Nasonex in your ear??? I thought that was a nose spray? Bizarre. It is good to the the scan of your sinuses. Never hurts to be sure just in case.
So glad that Dirk finally being there has helped you regardless of your face pain.
Still looking for jobs and sending out resumes left and right. If I get no response, it isn't for lack of trying!
Have a great weekend before the 4th!

FBW -The nasonex is to put up my nostrils that will help my ear she said.

Been in bed for 3 days, this is the pits. Can't sleep either. Then the pharmacy called and they won't fill the migraine med because it can interfere with my Cymbalta and give me too much seratonin, so I have to wait till they call my DR on Monday, even though I already used the samples of it.

DM - When my husband hit me in the head with the beer bottle my head and body then went flying off the chair onto the cement at the pool. They did cat scans of my brain and neck fusion, but none of the face/sinus area.

Bizi - Hope the concert was fun! Glad your arm is better, and hope that itching stops soon.

Mari - It is hard with a new therapist or starting over trying to explain everything. Most important you need to find one you are really comfortable with. Hang in there, I feel for you.

I just want to feel better. I can't handle much more pain in the eyes and ear.

Hugs, Nikko

Nikko

Nasonex is one that takes a while to work though too. So it may take it a while to give you some relief.

I hope you see some though.

It's too bad we cannot sue our soon to be ex's for the damage they have done however it may be.

I am about to go crazy staying at home so much. I had polyps removed Wednesday and biopsies taken of the rest. I paid bills yesterday and cleaned last night. Today been just hanging and trying to figure out some things with my computer.

Dear Nikko,

Glad you clarified that the Nasonex went in your nose and not in your ear. I was beginning to wonder where your doctor got his MD. Ear pain can be excruciating. Mine is usually taken care of by Keflex. If the membranes are swolen, you have to force a wick past them to get the med to reach the infected area, which can be even more painful than the infection itself. As for the migraines, if the triptains like Imitrex can't be used, the analgesic of last resort is Stadol, a heay-duty narcotic inhalant, (one use doses), that almost always works if all else fails. Don't know the contraindications regarding mania, however.
