My sister passed away in August. My Dad,and Mother have passed away. My best friend passed away a couple of years ago.

I have always had someone in the family to talk to,and help me filter out some of the things troubling me.

I don't have anyone in the family to let me know my security status. I don't have my immediate family anymore. I miss them. I can't talk to them anymore. BF

Hey Dave. I get support here,but there are no replacements for talking to a sister,Dad,or Mother. I don't have a brother.

I had a associate pastor who use to help me,but he moved away,then I moved away also. There was also a lady in the church that helped me. I lost contact with her.

when i really get bad and feel all alone i try to remember that God is always with me. I don't know if can work for you. I not even really friendly with my nephews or their children.

I can understand the emptiness you feel. Making new friendships often can be so valuable. Loneliness can really be a "downer".

I mentioned a while back; that even tho you may not be a senior; volunteers are needed at Senior Centers, or possibly getting involved in some of the Church groups. Often there are discussion groups, etc.

It would really be so helpful if you could try to develop new friends. I know it is not easy; But I wish you would give it your best. There are things you often can discuss with a friend that you might not be comfortable saying/talking to family about.

I am so sorry for what you are dealing with.
The grief from losing your dear sister is still so new and I am sure making things worse.

Your are such a dear person and obviously had a lovely relationship with your sister.
I wish you were my brother.

I know your friends here can only go so far but, I have developed some very close friendships with folks on these forums. it simply started with a PM, then several more, then some emails, then, exchanging phone numbers. Maybe pick someone you feel close to and send a PM. There are such nice people on these forums. I think it is a wonderful source for friends. We get each other! Look at the lovely reminder from Bobby that God is always with us....I needed that reminder myself today.
