Default Sufi Flute Music

This is beautiful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_LO...eFTM6L_xqJwvCQ

Here is part of a description of Sufism and the flute:
http://www.poetry-chaikhana.com/Themes/Flute/index.html
Quote:
On a more esoteric level, each human being is a living flute. The hollow reed is the sushumna, the central spiritual channel that parallels the spine. The holes of the flute are the chakras . . .

Quote:
This genre is generally meant as an expression of devotion to God, but it also can be a way to enhance the connection between the physical and spiritual aspects of the listener or performer.
P.S.
Rumi, a sufi poet whose words are often put to music, is the number one selling poet in the U.S.

Default Human Resources appointment later. Some anxiety.

A million things that I have to do today--

One of them is an appt with HR.
Apparently the institution is changing our medical plan.

I have an appt with the new head of HR to ask if my PCP is going to be covered under the new plan, but will not volunteer any mention of my pdoc.

Red face

I am sorry that you are haing to change your medical plan. That is really stressful, we went thru that last year.
Mari, you could call both your mdoc and pdoc and see if they take your new insurance. that might be easier on you??

B,

The two new people working in HR are absolutely wonderful.
The new plan will be
1) slightly cheaper, 2) include my docs, and 3) include lots more docs than I have access to now -- so there is a possibility I can find a good pdoc.

I did not ask specifically about the pdoc because I did not want them to
know I am a psychiatry patient.

I'm so glad everything worked out! I wouldn't deal well if I had to switch out any of my mdocs.
I wouldn't have asked any questions about the behavioral health benefits either. I'm glad that you may have the opportunity to get a better pdoc on board.
It's great that you have 2 new good people in HR now, too. That's helpful.

Finally something goes right, Mari

Default Mea cupla

I posted in wrong threads, tried to fix things, made a big mess. tried to delete and repost, . .

Then the site was stopping me by saying I had already posted the
same thing somewhere and within a short few seconds, . . . could not find the "somewhere" . . .

======
I often get lost reading.
I do not know why I think I am capable of posting. Posting is hard.

(It is possible that I mostly cleaned things up -- not sure.)

Yeah, I am glad that I met those two HR women. I trust that they are doing good work.

If I had heard about the new health plan through an official announcement,
I would have been upset and anxious.

I guess I am happy I was able to put faces to the emails.

That's especially important if you have medical/psych issues and know you're going to need your insurance. Friendly faces explaining your benefits must have really been a relief.

Because of the MS if I was still working, having pleasant and approachable people in the HR department would be key in case I would have to take any kind of extended leave.

Default soup for hubby

I forgot to go to bed last night.

I am making hubby some soup in the crock pot that he can eat later in the day.

We have tons of kale and a can of coconut milk and some fresh ginger and more than half of the other things in the recipe,
so I am using this this recipe as a blueprint. I am not currently allowing him potatoes and he does not like chick peas much, so the dish called
"Curried Vegetable and Chickpea Stew"
will really be more like "Curried Kale Soup"
