I love your site!!!
It's so professionally done, and it gives a clear impression of how much you you take pride in and enjoy your work! :) |
Thanks Kay!
I only saw 2 clients today instead of 4 like was planned. A new client did not work out....I called the daughter several times today and even went to her apartment, she was not home, neighbor said she was out visiting a friend.... sigh I left a card in her door to call me. Then another client who lives in a retirement community, she was in the hospital so that visit fell through. so the last client that I saw had really thick big toe nails and took me extra time so am glad that I saw her early. because If I saw every one that I had scheduled I would not have been home until 6:30! so I am glad it worked out like it did. I need to do paper work and work on this letter. bizi |

This is the letter I sent to the assisted living director,
Jeff helped me A LOT!!!!! January 23, 2016 Dear Ms. Casselman, Thank you for the opportunity to inform and promote my services to your residents and their families. The body of my introductory letter for your patients is below. My name is Elizabeth------. I am a registered nurse specializing in foot care. I have been doing business in Lafayette as The Traveling Foot Nurse for over fifteen years. I provide quality in-home foot care/pedicures for men and women who are not able to take care of their feet. When meeting a resident for the first time I assess their needs and listen to them before establishing a care plan. I am concerned for my clients’ welfare and always have their best interests at heart. A typical foot care visit includes a soapy foot bath exfoliating dry skin. I work to smooth corns and calluses and address dry areas. After trimming the toe nails, maintaining their normal length and thickness, I provide a leg and foot massage using lotion to promote circulation and skin integrity. I finish with nail polish if the client requests - leaving them their own bottle of polish so as to not share polishes. I sanitize all of my equipment in between clients. This visit typically lasts one hour. If there are any concerns, I follow up with a designated family member. I strive to provide meticulous foot care, identifying any problem areas and addressing those concerns. In addition, I feel it is important to educate my clients on improving their own care such as the prevention of skin injuries and suggestions for appropriate footwear. Thinking holistically, I also strive to be a patient advocate. I often provide information to clients and their families regarding additional healthcare concerns including safety risks that I may perceive in their immediate surroundings. Unfortunately, I am unable to bill insurances as this is a private pay service. My charge is $60 a visit. Appointments normally are rescheduled every 2-3 months for follow-up care. My visit is in the comfort of their apartment. I will be at Garden View on at least one Saturday a month on a continuing basis. If interested, contact Garden View’s wellness coordinator, Kizzy Keal. I will need contact information for billing and the name of the client’s primary care physician along with that person’s phone number. I very much enjoy working with the elderly and look forward to meeting your loved one. Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have any questions please call me. My cell number isxxxxxxxxx. Hi bizi,
That is a very professional letter, giving all relevant details in a clear and concise manner. I hope it brings the business it deserves. On a personal note, I dread going to see my Diabetes Nurse and having my feet examined. The combination numbness and Hypersensitivity makes having them touched rather painful - wearing socks burns. My foot care is, unfortunately, poor even though I know how important it is:( I am ashamed of myself. Dave. |
