I'm so proud of you for resisting the beers in the cupboard… you were being accountable to yourself. :)

I hope your friend Stephanie goes with you to see the Sky Liners. It would be nice for you to get to see Jeff looking handsome playing in his tux ;) I'd love to go hear 1940s big band music.

I'm glad your hair turned out great!

Have a good day Bizi!

Thanks kay!
Jeff said he had fun and had a lot of solos which is fun for him...other wise the guitar rather gets lost amongst the horns.
Yes in 2 months I hope steph will go with me.
I ended up watching 6 episodes of the big bang theory, that was fun!
I SCRUBBED the bath room floor!
It took me an hour....Glad that is done.
No more sticky/black floor!
Just got up, accidentally had set the alarm this morning...rats it went off at 8am, went back to sleep fortunately.
Was trying to enjoy and just wake up naturally. Oh well, I feel rested which is good.
Having a cup of coffee now and jeff and I will go out for brunch in a bit...
I have 3 clients this afternoon, (all at the same house): a couple and her mom who is getting demented.
Lovely family.
I see them every 5-6 weeks.
They tipped me $100 this past christmas! I always spend extra time with them..they are getting to be like family.
My folks and family in Indiana sent me pictures on their phones of their snow fall. It is cold there. I think this is the first real snow that they have had and it is the middle of january!
I hope for their sake the winter is a short one.
Have a great sunday my friends.
Thanks for reading and for your support.

Are you sore after scrubbing the floor? It sounds like hard work! You should reward yourself for getting that done :)
I should get down and scrub the places where the mop can't get to/doesn't do a good job, but I'm lazy and it would be a challenge. I have dirty rings around my floors lol.

I hope you enjoyed your brunch with Jeff and your time with your lovely family of clients :)

Thanks kay.
magic scrubbing bubbles really does the trick at dissolving the hair spray build up.
It took about an hour to clean the floors, no was not tired. Just happy that that was done.
I only saw 2 of my clients yesterday, her mother did not feel well enough to come over. So it was just the husband and wife. She told me about her gastric surgery last month. She was doing so well with losing weight. I could not imagine having to sip on fluids ALL DAY. For the rest of her life.
Can't eat this or that. Such a life changer. When you are desperate though it calls for drastic measures.
I went to my NAMI support group meeting and saw stephanie. She has been depressed and staying in bed. I suggested she look into an IOP, intensive out patient program. I really think it may help her.
She is going to think about it.
Happy Martin Luther King jr. day!
I am working, have 4 people to see.
Jeff is home.
I need to get going.
thanks for reading.

I hope She looks into the IOP. I know the ones my sister and her husband
have done have helped a lot.

I was going to go to whole foods and have a beer, really had to fight that urge.
Was going to go before my last client,, but changed my mind at the last minute, thinking about how would I be able to stop at 1 beer. Then Jeff was home and we would have dinner together before the concert tonight. By the time I got home, jeff had already left to go to the university, he is chairman of the concert committee and had to help the guests set up the stage etc.
I have 2 friends coming to pick me up at 6:45 the concert is at 7:30. We are going a bit early to try to find a place to park. Jeff put us on the guest list. So it won't cost us anything.
I am not sure what to think of this"concert". It has something to do with african american poetry set to piano....I will report more when I return.
I work tomorrow....last saturday to catch up from the holidays.
Talked to 2 people today about providing my services to their residents. One wants me to type up a letter describing my services and they will send the note to all of their family members of the residents. Which is a great idea that I have had before but that is solicitation so could not do that.
Have a great weekend!

Added:
There were only two people, one playing piano and the other acting and reciting poetry.
It was excellent!
Even so, IT WAS TERRIBLY attended.
Maybe 15 people there, what a shame.
sigh
Lack of publicity on ULL 's part.
It was in the paper under book reviews because of jeffs friend. She noticed Jeff's facebook post about the performance.
anyway

OhKay 01-23-2016 09:27 AM

I'm proud of you Bizi! It sounds like you fought off a very strong urge :) :) :)

I hope that things work out and you are able to pick up the clients at those facilities… it would be great to pick up that kind of business. It's not solicitation since the admin. asked you for the letter, right?

I hope you had a good time at the concert.

And I hope you have a good day today! Last Saturday! Yay!!! :)

Thank you kay.
I am a terrible writer so have asked Jeff help me compose the note over the weekend.
WE had frost on the roof this morning, it is 35 right now high today of 50 with wind not being much of a factor for today as it was yesterday.

I feel sorry for the folks in the east coast. cold snow and the chance they might lose power. I could not live under those conditions. But I suppose many people can't tolerate our heat and humidity in the summers, nor the hurricanes that come upon us. Thankfully we have been spared for many years now of a major one. It seems like each area of the country deals with its own weather issues.
Such is life.

Here is my web site if any of you would like to comment/critique. I will be using this to help me prepare the note to the families since I put so much time into the site. PM if you want to see the web site.

I will post the note before I email it to them.
Later that is.
Well I had better start getting ready for work, hubby and I will have lunch together, chicken and sausage gumbo like usual.
Yummy!
