Tonight Doug invited me over for supper and waited on me! I kept asking him if he wanted for me to help and he insisted he wanted to do it. We got to talking more about the notes incident. I had printed up the note he never got that his nurse was suppose to give him and dropped it off with Doug earlier today. He told me that when I had stopped coming over and calling that it deeply upset him and he couldn't figure out why I was acting like that. He went into the hospital the day after the note incident for about a week and never heard from me.

Di, I'm sure that the nurse got her punishment because when she stole money from Doug he called the agency and reported her. Now he doesn't want anyone coming in except the hospice nurse just to do vitals and inject morphine.

Barb, once again your words were emotionally moving to me and I cried this time. And thanks for the compliment about my halo being extra shiny.

Doug is lucky he sorted this mess out.
I am so sorry the nurse stole from him, that goes to show the mentality of that person!

Wow, am I really ****** off at that nurse, she had NO right interfering in his and your business. I am glad it is all straightened out now. Some people have some nerve, it's unbelieveable.

WOW! What a nosy busy-body nurse! And she stole to boot! I am so glad that you are talking to Doug again. It is obvious he missed you.
Good for you for not being angry and starting back up a friendship.
I don't blame him for not wanting to have another nurse after this experience.
You are such a strong lady. I would be blessed to have such a caring neighbor as you.

Today I saw a lot of Doug. He must have colored me 8 or more pictures since yesterday. Tonight we were talking about some funny memories as kids. Well, one story I told Doug had him laughing so hard he started heaving because he couldn't get his breath. It scared me to death but after he put the oxygen on his breathing got straight soon after.

Doug, his roommate and I had a nice time last night also. Today we talked about going to the county fair next month. Doug said he's going to call Goodwill up Monday to get the motorized wheelchair so we can go to the county fair. I'm going to try to get some digital movies of Doug with my younger brother's digital camera if my brother will let me.
