I'm sorry you had to go through that Mari :hug::hug:
Those things are miserable! It is always frigid. The ones I have gone through have always had a "lights out" policy, which I found to be intolerable at the time. I hope you don't have a bunch of crap stuck in your hair, and you get some good sleep in today and/or tomorrow. I'm sure they wanted you to sleep in because they were greedy for more data. I hope that the results will help your doctor help you get more quality sleep :hug::hug: |
so many many things on my mind
I took 1/4 pill of Lunesta and slept for twelve hours Friday night.:Zzzz:
Tonight I took 1/4 pill of Lunesta also but I am wide awake and worried about stuff. =-=-=-=-= I told pdoc that after the sleep study I would try the Lithium she gave me. It is prescribed as 150 mgs twice a day but she told me I could take the powder out of the capsules for a smaller dose if I wanted. I see her Wed Dec 21. M |
The Lunesta just may not have worked last night because you were wide awake from the 12 hours you slept the night before.
I wish that your pdoc had just prescribed you lithium in tablet form. That would have made life a lot easier… I have always taken lithium carbonate, which comes in tablets, but it's possible that she chose to prescribe you the other form of prescription lithium (which I can never remember) for a particular reason, and it only comes in capsules. I hope you do well with it :hug::hug: |
Wow mari, 12 hours of sleep! I have never heard you say that.
Did you ever get to sleep yesterday? bizi |
|
Which one are you taking Mari? Do you remember if it is the same one you took in the past? I know it was a long time ago. Maybe it is the different form and you will have better success this time around.

right day. right time.

Current pdoc seemed to say that she specifically gave me the stuff in capsules so that I could play with the dosing on my own without dealing with the pill cutter mess. I had planned to start the lithium after the sleep study but I am still putting off starting. =-=-=-====-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= I want to be awake early enough in the day to take it so that I can be awake to see how the lithium feels/affects me long before bed time. I keep putting off finding a day with perfect timing. M |
You won't see benefits until it builds up in your blood stream at a consistent level at whatever dose you're taking… and usually you won't experience side effects until it gets a chance to build up either.
The risk of immediate side effects at 150mg is probably really, really low. But you are really sensitive to meds, so you never know. If you are comfortable enough right now to wait to start taking it until you find the right time then that's probably not a bad idea. You know what's best for you Mari. |
:grouphug:Mari
Maybe starting after xmas would work better for you. Donna :grouphug: |
For two days I have taken slightly less than half of the lithium capsules.
I feel o.k. about this plan. Maybe in a day or so I will increase the dose. The next pdoc appt is in three weeks. I see sleep neuro Dec 28 afternoon. I think my parents will be here during that time. I am keeping the appt. I did email Dad tonight to send me their flight information. HELLO!? How are hubby and I going to know which day to pick them up without flight info? M |
