I know the reason's for your sleep are a lot different than my son's were. But I would also keep a diary like of times and amounts you take the Ritalin. For some reason when my middle son was on it. He would talk all night till 1 or 2am. If we didn't give him anything at bedtime. Since it didn't matter to his energy the next day and my other son could sleep through it, when he was already asleep. We didn't worry. Till one day I made a mistake of giving the night dose of ritilan, it was for homework. And wasn't too be given after 6:00pm because it could keep him up longer. But one night with getting home about 6:30 and needing to do lots of homework. I broke the doctor's rule. He not only got homework done by 9:00pm. But went right to sleep when I put him to bed. First time probably in his life, except maybe as a baby. So I went ahead because we had an appointment in like 2 weeks. And started giving it at 6:15 or 6:30. And it worked. I had to tell the doctor this. Worried he would get mad at me. He just looked in amazement at me. And said, keep it up. Donna :grouphug: |

Saw pdoc.
I told her I cut out the Lunesta due to teeth grinding. She is increasing my Gabapentin from two hundred to three hundred for sleep. I told her that I would not take the increase and do not need it because I am sleeping. =-=- I told her about how in the past, I gradually increased the Gabapentin powder in the capsules at night and how awful the side effects were the next day. I had gotten myself up to about three or four hundred mgs and dropped right back to 200 due to sleepiness in the daytime. (There is a long thread about a slow Gabapentin increase somewhere on here.) BESIDES, I TOLD HER I AM SLEEPING FINE WHEN I GO TO BED. She is not listening. (AND in other appts, I have told her that the sleep is partly psychological and behavioral. Dunno what she does not understand about that. ) She renewed my meds. I told her I think I lost the last bottle of risperidone. She is certain I have it. I said that that my life is chaotic and that I will call or email her if I do not find it. =-=-= SUMMARY: She does not seem to "get" me yet. But she is accommodating. I scheduled the next appt for one month because I hate driving there. It seems to rain whenever I see her and rain and traffic make me nervous. Thursday was the first time I did not get lost. M |
I am glad that you did not get lost getting there.:)
I am glad that you are sleeping better, I think that is what you said. (((((HUGS)))) bizi |
"SUMMARY: She does not seem to "get" me yet. But she is accommodating."
It must be frustrating to have to repeat and reexplain issues to her. I hope that in time that those conversations build up to her having a better understanding of you and your sleep issues. In the meantime, it's good to have someone who's willing to work with you :hug::hug: |
Right, Kay.
She is willing to work with me. That counts. M |
Pic from the Walmart parking lot Sunday night

Wow, that's pretty.
You don't want to see any pictures from in the vicinity of my Walmart lol. |
tdoc Thursday
I am almost willing to dump the tdoc.
I find it a hassle to plan her into my time. In other words, I would rather be doing anything else. . . . . Except a tiny part of my thinks that talking to her might be helpful. We already do varied weeks depending on how busy I am or how confusing my schedule is and how confused I am about keeping track of appts. and other stuff. I might stretch out the next visit to 4 or 5 weeks from now. M |
I'm not seeing my tdoc at all right now, and can totally understand the feeling of dread you are taking about, even though I really like her.
A lot of people see their tdocs monthly. How often are you seeing her now? |
All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:49 PM. |
