Last night I could not sleep due to the lithium and took the Klonopin too late.

Then I slept through getting to work --but no one at work was checking
so I sort of thought I would be o.k.
But either way, I was not able to go to work.

In a few minutes I am going back to bed after I take my lithium.

I hope you end up getting some much needed sleep.

No. I went to sleep late -- like 5:00 am.
And I was in a light sleep.

Tonight I took a fourth of a pill of Lunesta. I am expecting it to work.

I hope it does work for you, Mari.
You have the fact that you're probably exhausted in your favor

Have been taking three lithiums three days in a row.

I am more anxious.
=-=-=-

I might take some more lunesta even though I could end up sleeping the whole day.

. . . .Concerned too about sleeping so late -- need to move the hours so
I can get to work starting next week.

Are you more anxious after every dose of lithium you take (all day), or are you getting more anxious after taking a particular dose (at a certain time of day/night)?

I know that it's best to have your lithium level even in your system (for instance by taking the same dose 12 hours apart), but I remember when I first started taking it, I was taking more at night than during the day for a while for some reason. So, maybe your pdoc can make an adjustment if your anxiety may be lessened by tweaking the dosing.

I'm sorry you have such a hard time with meds, Mari. I wish things were easier for you :hug::hug:

Pdoc expected me to take 150 lithium three times a day.
She preferred that I take Lunesta instead of extra Klonopin to deal
with the anxiety that interfered with sleep.

I did that for four days and stopped because the anxiety made sleep impossible
even with the Lunesta. And even with taking the lithium early in the day.

Now I am taking two 150 capsules when I first get up -- (Today I woke up at 3:00 p.m. but starting tomorrow/ Tuesday I will shift to an earlier wake up time.)

That is the highest I can get on the lithium. Probably I am getting some
benefit from the lithium even though I am still depressed.
