The batteries on our laptops don't last long at all… definitely not long enough to stream a movie.

Our computers are so old, Apple doesn't make batteries for them any more, they are hard to find, and they are generic and poor quality.

We need to buy a new computer to share, but there are more pressing things we need, and would want to save more before making a big purchase like that because we are Mac people.

This storm really came out of nowhere. Nobody was prepared for it.

Some people will still not have power for another 24-48 hours because so many transformers blew up.

bizi 10-31-2017 08:52 AM

I am glad that you have your power back on!
It really does suck.
Perhaps you could call for the results. IT usually takes a while for them to put on the lab results, at least here.
I know how you hate to wait for results. You want information so that way you can plan for what is next.
I feel for you

I think I got all the results I'm going to get. They get posted 36 hours after the results come in. Sometimes doctors ask labs to hold back results if they want to deliver news/explain test results to patients before they view the results online. It's happened to me in the past.

There are still A LOT of people without power.

I can't get one of my scripts filled because it's from a different CVS and mine can't get it transferred because that CVS is still without power.

This is why I like hand written orders for scripts. Now every thing is electronic.
I want a paper script!

Somehow they worked it all out, and by the time I went to pick up my prescriptions, the Protonix was ready, too :)
4 scripts... lots of $$$

There are STILL people and businesses without power from Sunday night's storm.

I could not find the current weather thread....
it was 97 degrees to day. the heat beats you down just walking from one air conditioned place to another.
I really feel sorry for those who have to work out side for a living.

It made it up to 97 here in Northern Michigan as well. It's only the 2nd time in the last 2 years we have seen temps above 90. It's normally in the 70s to low 80s so not too many people outside today, unless they're on the water somewhere.

bizi 06-30-2018 11:06 PM

wow! that is hot for you guys!

Its somewhere in the 90's right now. Not sure where. The heat index is
putting it in the 100's. So we have heat advisories out.

Fun fun. Ugh, just so much fun.
