Frown Off to the Dentist today, eeekkkkkkk

Well here goes nothing. I do believe that my left back and lower two teeth have something to do with my migraines. I do have TMJ that hasn't bothered me in a long time, I do grind at night too. Maybe I am wrong, but I have to cover all areas here.

I haven't been to the dentist in awhile, I guess this is what I get.

Waited till my head/eye/jaw pain subsided then went to sleep last night, woke up this morning with a killer headache same pain. Took meds, feel shakey now. Used the ice pack, having iced coffee, staying up seems to help more. Stomach is jumpy, nerves I know.

At least the pain is now early in the am and later in the evening. Plus I went out and did my errands yesterday in the heat and was pain free.

Took meds, feel shakey. I feel like crap. But I will get myself there for 7:45am, it is only 6:15am here now.

I dread the dentist, always have. Have a feeling I may need a few extractions.

I'll check in with you all later. Have a good day.

Hugs, Nikko

Heart

((((((Nikko)))))),

I'll think healing thoughts for you today, sugar:

I don't like going to the dentist either. The novacaine makes me 'wobbly'.

I had to get a route canal about a year ago. I was absolutely petrified. I had a third year student at the dental school do it. G-d, she was good and talented and caring. Didn't bother me at all She planned to work down in Florida when she finished. They're very lucky down in Florida

I hope you find someone like that to be your new dentist. Hugs.

Good luck with the appt today Nikko, I am in the boat where I lost four molars due to bad fillings which cracked teeth to the gumline. It's not fun having extractions, but I bet they won't do one today, they will probably just take stock of the situation and talk to you about the pain you're having. Best of luck with it.

Hope you feel better soon.

Tongue I don't know one person who likes going...

to the Dentist . I have to give my daughter-in-law credit for working as a dental assistant, with a specialty of children . That's got to be awfully difficult work....

I hope you made out okay with your appointment! We're all anxious to find out . I hope some of your problems were resolved!

Take care!

Hi,
Well, On Thursday I had two teeth extracted one on back top left and one on bottom left back. I got novicane and the gas. One tooth had a bad cavity on the side of it, the other was in bad shape from gum disease.

Not the ones I thought, but the x-ray's showed different, then the Dentist tapped my teeth with some instrument to see if I agreed with him and the x-rays (I did not know which he and the x-rays showed) well we were right on).

I am once again on anti-biotics, penicillin for 6 or so days. My pain is just about gone, it's just mostly JAW pain now and sore, which is from getting the bottom tooth out, looks like a big hole like the grand canyon, thank God you can't see it when I open my mouth or smile.

All in all, I have gum disease, because I have receding gums. So, I have a long way to go with getting some fillings fixed, then onto a periodentist for the gum disease which scares me even more.

So far the migraines are Gone, I can't complain, only blame myself for not going to the dentist.

My CAREINGTON Ins. which is under USA Dental is GREAT. It would of been $320.00 but it was only $53.40 that was a huge PLUS for me.

I stayed in bed all day yesterday, been living on yogart, soup, lemonade, water. Because I woke up Friday at 4am with a fever, but it went away, when I got back up later on. Last night I woke up all sweaty, not sure what that is all about, I think too many meds that I have been taking prior to seeing the dentist to self medicate.

Chewing won't be happening due to my TMJ for a bit of time.

Today it's sore and itchy, no stitches though. I go back on Aug 9th for a complete set of x-rays and complete exam. Had to first get the pain issue out of the way.

Thanks for hanging in there with me, hope this was most of the migraine problem. It had to be. I really liked the dentist he was nice and down to earth and said it like it was. He asked if I needed pain killers but I said no, I had wrote down what I take anyway. Actually, Bayer 325 have been helping a lot. But I do need to take the penicillin.

I had to cancel my eye Dr appt for Friday, I was just not up to it after having the two teeth extracted on Thursday, had to stay in bed.

Hugs, Nikko

Dear Nikko,
I'm happy to hear that the headpain is gone.

The dentist sounds like an ordeal. I'm glad that you got through it.
Don't be afraid of treatments for the gum disease; the dentist will send you to someone good.

Keep taking care. Keep stress low for awhile.

Nikko,

I hope you feel better soon from the teeth extractions. The dentist was never any fun for me either. I went to an oral surgeon when I had to have the rest of my teeth pulled and he was wonderful. My ex's insurance I had back then paid for most of it.
