Default Dentist Tomorrow

PRAYER PLEASE!

I am one of those people who put off going to the dentist........forever. Monday, I broke a tooth. It had been getting weaker as a filling had fallen out. I made an appointment with the dentist which is tomorrow at 10:30. I have a dental phobia.

Now, however, since the tooth broke it is getting smaller and smaller as has finally gotten to the nerve. It is starting to hurt but not "off the chart" In fact I tried to see if I could get in earlier, but they are really busy. If I have to go in on an emergency basis I can, I guess, but I don't think it is there yet.

So, please pray that this tooth will not hurt, and that everything will go well at the dentist tomorrow. I also get mild Asthma... Worry worry worry!

At least when there is pain, it trumps the worry!

OK Prayers would be appreciated.

Judy

hey you .I will for sure have you in my prayers. I have a huge huge file at dentist office. I have about everything you can think of as far as fake teeth posts plate ...even 3 plates to hold my jaw together. For now do not eat hot or cold things or sweet things... use a straw so it dose not go over that area.
sometimes even breathing threw mouth will hurt. When I was bad off and I wouldnt and probly should not reccomend this but I will say it as it did work for a quick fix IN MY CASE... I used candle wax to temp. fill in the hole where the tooth had rotted or fallen apart. making sure it was not wax from a bug candle and it held till I saw him the next day.
gladly Prayers will/are carefully being said for your mouth and teeth to stop hurting and I pray everything gets fixed correctly when you see your dentist.
. hang in there. keep us posted. you will be fine!!!!
Peace Peace ..and painfree wishes.

You certainly have my prayers as well, hon. I have been through heck at the dentist's office myself, and am glad I never have to again... I finally gave up and let them give me dentures.

BurntMarshmallow gave you a hint that I have used myself in the past. Candle wax really DOES help. But they also sell, at just about any pharmacy, a cheap kit for you to fill the hole yourself. I can't remember the name, it's been a few too many years, lol. But I DO remember just how well it worked. You might want to consider buying one and keeping it around for emergencies.

You sound a lot like my honey, and he doesn't go to the dentist when he needs to either... has a few teeth that need to come out, and others that need filling. Hmmm, maybe I should go buy one of those kits for him, lol. I will update you on the name of it afterwards, ok?

Here's wishing you a pain-free trip to the dentist... ask for Nitrous, it helps keep one calm and happy while enduring the work.

well from the east coast..today is alomost done.I have had you in my thoughts on and off durring the day today and really really pray and hope things went well and was painless. I know when ya get back from a d. visit and the numbness wears off the sore can be a bothersome little bugger. so a handfull of prayers from me that your oral/teeth issues are taken care of and you have a good rest tonight. Let us know how things are with you. but warn me first if you are gonna go into detail....I have been threw lots and may get set off into bad dream mode. thanks
The Rogue One I never heard of a kit gees I wish I knew that back when I was dripping candle wax. ha . But you know and I do that if you get infection /abcessed tooth...and dont go see dentist it can get into your blood and then you are in way deep. so have your honey taken care.
Peace Peace

Thank you all for your prayers. I appreciated also hearing about your dental stories, as this is actually a "biggie" for me.

Yesterday, I came home and slept, so I am just getting back to the computer now. The bad news is I had to have the tooth pulled.

The good news, and there is lots is that, is I was completely calm and I felt like the dentist did everything he could to try to save the tooth. He said there was too much calcification in the root and he couldn't do a root canal although he tried. I am going back for a cleaning a week from Tuesday, and then see what else needs to be done and then I will have to decide what to do about the gaping hole..........

The other good news is that I am on antibiotics and was able to tolerate them this time. The last time I took them I had an allergic reaction as I have been getting allergic to more and more of them. This time I am on Ceclor. So far so good.

I can't even tell you how much I appreciate your posts as I feel like you really do care! Thank you for that!

Judy
