Mari, I think it's great that you make these kind of efforts to try to understand your husband and cope with some of his behaviors

Hubby knows these things about himself -- routine, not listening during conversation, . . .
Weird though that he can listen to a lecture. He has DVD's of experts talking and such.

But I had to tell him about Aspergers. He believed me when I pointed out
how he has traits similar to a colleague who clearly has it (stronger than Hubby's)

Hubby does not check his phone. He does one thing at a time.

Default Sleep

I have no recollection of going to sleep last night.

I might have gone to bed very early because I feel rested today even though I woke up early when I heard hubby getting ready for work.

Default try to keep myself save.

I had to cancel appointment with pdoc today due to not being able
to drive -- too sleepy and messed up.

It's a 25 min drive on a busy fast moving road & I would hate to
cause an accident.

I have an appoint for next week. They will charge me #50.00 again.

You know your own limits... I'm glad you did not drive

I can't believe that your pdoc charges you when you can't make it to appointments because you are so tired it's unsafe for you to drive. She knows about your sleep issues, and you can't give 24 hours notice if you don't know you won't sleep well the night before an appointment and/or will be out of it the next day.

Our mental health care providers need to recognize we have health problems too...

My providers don't charge me if I tell them I can't make it because I'm unsafe to drive. It used to happen a lot when I was in the habit of making appointments in the afternoon.

I'm sorry about the $50. But I'm glad that you are safe, and didn't have to deal with the anxiety of driving on that fast and busy road when you were not up to it
