BF,
You have conditions, medication contributing to what you are feeling. I am glad you come here to post with us. Your concern is understandable.

Please be assured you are not in danger of loosing your benefits. Mari is right; these discussion will be on for quite some time; and so much is out there in an effort to sway voters their way; often by working on the "scare tactics", as I mentioned to those most vulnerable.

As both Bobby and Kay posted; you will probably be over 65 as well. Kay also mentions those who are being targeted; you are not in that category.

It still is a good idea to get in touch with your doctor's office.

Thank you all for the wise words, and comforting insights. I didn't call anyone today because it was the first working day after the holiday.

I slept off, and on today. I am exhausted. It's probably due to the fear/panic episode that I've been through. The medications help, but sometimes they cause me to become sleepy. The sleep usually helps my phobia problems.

I would try to listen to the news, then I would change the channel.

I would have talked to my Dad, Mother, and sister, but they have all passed away. I have nieces, and a brother in law, but I don't want to burden them. One of my nieces has had two babies in the last couple of years. They found out that one of them has autism. I hope that the baby doesn't develop anything like what I have. That's one of my concerns.

I thank you all for being there for me. You all have been a great comfort to me in these last several days while I have been going through this fear/panic/confusion/fear of being abandoned/ and emotionally shattered situation. I don't know why this happens. It is a big mystery. I have never understood it, and my parents, and sister when they were alive never understood it, or liked these problems. It is a lonely illness. I've been alone for most of my adult life except when I was working. When I was working I was not treated right.

Thank you all lots. BF

Hey Bobby. The "Baby boomer" age of retirement for me is 66. They may have changed it to 67. BF

I still don't think it will be settled by that time. a lot of voters who actually vote
would be beyond furious!

Please try your best to stay away from the news

I hope you can reach out to someone on your mental health care team soon for some extra help. There's no need to suffer if there's a way that one of them can provide you with a little more comfort and/or reassurance

Thank you Kay. I'm trying to stay away from the news. I'm feeling a little better. I hope that my condition doesn't flare up again. It was awful. BF
