Went by myself to an Acadiana roots music/talk show.
The paper here has guest artist come in for an intimate hour or so.
I really enjoyed it!
The musician is Geno Delafose, he plays a blend of styles:, cajun, creole and zydeco music on the accordion. It is very dance able and he sings in french.


I learned things about him that I did not know.
He is 46 and has played music for 40 years!
He wear a cowboy hat but actually works on the farm in his free time.250 cattle take a lot of helping hands. Not only is he traveling around the country with his band, he finds time to mow many acres of land twice a month!
From singer to playing in his band,to cattle ranching to mowing lawns....he is constantly busy!
And a very happy man!

I am really glad I went!

He was interesting. He also doesn't drink or smoke and is a very religious man.
He knows that this is not good for his body etc.

I finally slept great last night!

Found out that my twin sister is applying for a new job.
She has been unhappy at work.
She is an RN working for a pediatrition. They have been slowly replacing RN's with Medical assistants.
She got snubbed for a promotion last year(that she told no one about)
and got her feelings hurt.
Now she feels she is not valued.
So she went for an interview yesterday and is considering working part time as school nurse.
She would be in a contract to work one shift every 2 weeks and she can pick up as many hours as she likes. This will make her available to assist my folks.
The job is a big responsibility. She would have to dial up insulin pumps. She would be able to learn them quickly I am sure of that. She is a very good nurse!

Wow, school nurses are needed. I'm kind of selfish and hope she takes this job. Only because good ones that are sympathic and understand a students needs are rare and really needed.

I ordered a special license plate today on line. FOOT RN
The site said it would take 12 weeks to get the plate in....
golly that is a long time!
I feel like I am getting more hypomanic.
My attention span is not good,
I only hear about half of what jeff tells me.
I spent many hours today at the motor vehicles office out of town TWICE
because I did not have the right document!
I feel dizzy right now...maybe that is the seroquel kicking in????

I need to go to bed as I work tomorrow, hope I can sleep!

I hope that your sister gets that job. It sounds like a great position!

I'm so glad you finally got a good night's sleep! I bet that dizziness you were feeling was the Seroquel... It used to get REALLY bad for me if I took any Klonopin too close to my night time dose of it.

You feel like you are up right now, but the fact that the Seroquel worked the other night, but wasn't working before, makes me think maybe you are starting to come down from an episode. It was a little strange that doubling the dose wasn't sedating you in the first place.

I hope you got another good night's sleep again

stayed in bed until 8am. Was asleep just at midnight.
