I wish wellness for you Kay.

I'm really struggling physically. I'm absolutely exhausted all the time, I'm in pain, and just feel f***ing rotten. I need one or more days to recover from almost everything I do. I feel like I'm getting worse. I'm faced with the same old question: Is this just the MS? I have symptoms that are not MS-related, and blood work that's been off since September, so I probably should make an appointment with my PCP.
I had been planning on doing laundry today, but I need another day to recover. Monday I had the appointment with the gastro NP. I am indeed being shipped off to Boston to see a specialist and to have testing. I'm reposting links to the tests again. They are both invasive and GROSS. Defecography: File Not Found Anorectal Manometry: https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/gast..._Manometry.pdf I said I would do the Defecography because it will show if I do have the sigmoidocele (herniation/prolapse of my signed colon) that showed up on the last CAT scan I had, and other useful information. My gastro's medical assistant is trying to see if she can get an appointment with the specialist on the same day as I have the test, but I doubt that I will get that lucky. I feel badly, but Corey is going to have to take another vacation/personal day to take me into Boston. I can't go by myself. I do not want to have too many tests at once because my copays are high. And when the NP told me that depending on the results of the anorectal manometry, they sent patients for therapy, which includes a therapist sticking her hands up bums and/or vag's. So, I said NOOOOOOOOO. I had my PT eval yesterday. The therapist I saw has a lot of experience working with MS patience, and she was very thorough and nice. Of course I will be doing pool therapy, and because I'm in such rough shape, I'll be going once a week to start. I have seen the girl who does pool therapy several times in the past. She is also very good, and very nice. The new bathing suit arrived. The top with the long sleeves and thumb holes fits perfectly. It actually has a built in bra, so I won't need to wear a bathing suit top under it after all. The bottoms that came with it are more like an eye patch lol. I tried the top on with the bottoms I have. I don't remember how long ago I bought them, but I've lost A LOT of weight (I'm at 140 lbs now vs. 168 at the beginning of January), and they're too big. I have to pick up a fan I reserved online from Target today, so I will buy new bottoms. I will have to try some on tho... UGH. I will not be too picky. |
Well corey will just have to help you whether he likes it or not.
He can push you in a wheel chair around the big hospital in Boston. I am glad that the top came in and is perfect for you and the bonus of an added bra built in!!!! yeah!!!! I am sure that you will find some bottoms. They should have swim wear out since it is may. Good luck with the fan, it may be in a big box, You should ask corey to go get it. Or have target people put it in your car for you and bring it home then have corey bring it in. I love chocolate mint ice cream! it is my favorite! Have a good day kay. love to you. Yesterday I got really short of breath in the shower (which isn't that unusual lately), and got so lightheaded that I had to get down on my knees so I didn't pass out...
So I called my PCP to make an appointment, but he's booked up until October! They said they had an appointment available with the NP next Wednesday. I think I need to go to "urgent care" today. I booked the appointment with the NP anyway because my insurance requires me to follow up with my doctor after I go to urgent care or the ER, so I figured it was better to make the appointment sooner rather than later. I got on the scale this morning and I lost more weight. I'm down to 138.6 lbs now. I haven't had much of an appetite for the last couple of days (even for chocolate), but I am eating. We needed a new fan, so I had to search for one that fit the bill. I bought one online and had to pick it up yesterday at a Target about 40 minutes away. It is a vast improvement over what we had. It is tall enough and much more powerful, so we will be much more comfortable sleeping when it's hot out (we're not allowed to have an AC in our bedroom window). The ride there was HELL. On the way back, I went the long way home, which was more familiar to me, less stressful, and therefore safer. There's no way I can drive myself into Boston. When I told Corey, he said, "no s***." So, I think I will be able to get him to drive me in when I need him to. I have dirty laundry in the trunk. IF I feel okay to do it today, I will go to the laundromat. Otherwise, it can wait until tomorrow. I made sure Corey understands that even if I don't get around to doing it until tomorrow, I still need him to come with me to the laundromat this weekend to take care of the laundry back up. I couldn't find any bathing suit bottoms (everything was picked over), so I will be forced to wear the big ones unless I get a sudden burst of energy and get to Kohl's. I hope they stay in place in the water. |
Kay,
Good luck at urgent care.:hug::hug::hug: Do you have safety bars or an appropriate rail or chair to balance yourself in the shower? Sorry to hear that you did not get the suit bottoms. M |
oh kay, keep us updated.

Kay
Do you have any shorts that might work for the bottoms to a swimsuit. Thats what I would look into till you can find something else. I sure hope you start feeling better too. Donna :grouphug: |
Thinking good thoughts for you, Kay

Yesterday I had the same experience in the shower as the day before. I don't have any safety equipment in the bathroom at all. I may have to consider doing something about that, or restarting my Life Line, if this type of thing continues tho.
I went to urgent care yesterday, and they did an EKG. I have a right bundle branch block, which is a "normal variant," But the MD there had access to past ones I had done for comparison, and thought she noticed a change, so she sent me directly to the ER. They didn't find anything there, and they let me go home after several hours. It was a big waste of time and lot of trouble for something that should have been just an office visit. Oh, and a waste of money cuz God only knows how much the ER bill will be. They ran the CBC with diff that my PCP wanted me to have drawn, and it's still all screwed up (has been since September). I left my PCP a love note to tell him the test was done so he could look up the results. I will talk to the NP about it on Thursday. The really sad thing is that I texted Corey around 11am to tell him I had to go to the ER and WHY, and he NEVER responded. When I got home around 4, he was stretched out on the couch fooling around with his phone. When I asked him why he never even texted me, he said he got the text while he was at work. Then when he got home, he ate something and fell asleep. If HE was in the ER, I would be right by his side, and he would EXPECT it. Anyway... I'm going to try to do the laundry today because I have no choice. Corey is already complaining about how bad the weather will be this weekend, and I know he will not go to the laundromat with me. He is such an a**hole. |
