I'm so glad that you got in touch with your social worker and she was able to get someone to accompany you to appointments and arrange a cab for you :)

A absolutely HATE my cane. I really resisted using it in the beginning, but I got used to it. It will take time, but you will, too. Try buying a pretty one... that really helped me.

I would explain to Stella that you have enough anxiety of her own, and ask her to refrain from making noises or overreacting when you are out and about. You need her support not more anxiety. I've had to tell my husband to shut up and back off many times.

I'm sorry that you are still feeling irritable and depressed, and I hope that your toes and feet are in better shape soon :hug::hug:

Actually the more I thought about it ...perhaps the crack is from moisture. Like our feet perspire and can cause cracking in between the toes and even under them in the folds of the toe. White peeling called maceration.
If that is the case then you would treat it differently. You would make sure you wear clean socks everyday and wash and dry thoroughly especially in between the toes. and under the toes.
A tiny smudge of anti biotic lotion, or cream, NOT OINTMENT.
Good luck either way.

what is the difference between cream and ointment. practically all the time my feet are bare. i am in the apartment and don't wear socks. I think the cream is working. I can't stand stuff on my feet. I have been like this since a child. I have to have comfortable shoes. I don't have corns or anything except callouses on the bottoms of my feet. I don't think my feet perspire when i wear bare feet

I have a few tubes of fungus cream ...I guess I will use all of them.

I hail my own cab. I don't mind the cane. A lot of times I don't need it and it is a pain to put it down when i am seated. I told stella she was getting me anxious. I don't know what is happening to me. I have gained five pounds in a few days. I have a sugar craving. I ordered some sweet things and chicken pot pies. feel wretched and scared about the sugar and the diabetes and the weight gain but I am so depressed. the antidepressants aren't working. I also don't know if the doxepin is increasing my appetite. I am a total wreck. I don't know if I am having a blood test on friday. I am out of control. I just want carbohydrates and not other food. I don't remember being like this. it is f**king scary. My anxiety is sky high and the klonopin isn't touching it

I am so sorry you are struggling bobby.
(((((HUGS))))
Lotion goes into your skin and is absorbed quickly.
ointment has a vaseline base and keeps thing moist, not what you want, depending upon why you have a crack.
Do you think it is from dry skin or moist skin?
Whether or not we know it...most feet perspire.
I wish you wore foot wear at all times except for bed because people with diabetes really need to watch their feet.

Also Bobby,
This pain or even the losing of nail, the starting and it happening can
make your feet hurt. And make you unsteady I would think. It does
me. I've been lucky with nails thank goodness, But callouses and things
like this make it really hard for me to walk.

Bizi, My doctor (foot) told me that even inside I have to wear shoes. And
I do most of the time. And he was so right it makes a big difference. I have very unbalanced sore feet if I don't have them on. I can tell the difference.

Even a good firm pair of slippers, even when Derrick buys me a pair for Christmas he makes sure they are good for my feet.

first i made a mistake. the woman who will help me on friday will get the cab coming home.
I have never worn shoes in the house or over friends. I have good feet I buy second hand shoes and I think there was a fungus in a pair. I should spray them before I wear them. First time it happened.
I woke up this morning early and had four cups of coffee and a chicken pot pie and got on the scale and saw the weight gain. I really lost it. for lunch I had two lean cuisines and later a cucumber. NO MORE SWEETS. i have slept most of the day and the anxiety has calmed down. I feel I am in control. The sleep helped.

I have gained weight too. I have to figure out what I'm going
that is wrong. I am not sure but its beginning to look like
I've gained after my surgery for that reason.

Ugh, I know that is silly, but I'm not sure why otherwise.

I will have to change something.
