I hope the PT guys is really good for you.
And yes that is pretty late but they have to assess you so many days/hours after they get the referral. So maybe that is even an on call PT? or he is working later than normal. At least they are responding to the referral.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
(((((HUGS))))

Just to let you know, there is a lot of paper work when you are admitted to a home care company.
Either a nurse can admit you or even PTs can admit you. Not sure if you have already seen the nurse....still trying to get caught up in threads...forgive me that I have missed posts.

Bobby,

I guess he is coming over for paperwork and some questions to get
started on an assessment or plan.

You might like him. I hope he is good for you.

Sounds like a plan....
We have met our deductible for the year, I hope yours is not too much.
I need to get a new pdoc, one who accepts my insurance.
My friend Doris who I went on my trip gave me her name...I will call on monday to see if she takes my insurance.

Bobby,

Is Richard going to come twice a week for a certain amount of weeks?

I am glad that he is nice.

Medicare pays for a certain number of weeks but you can get an extension. they do it by cost. My right leg is so weak. He told me to raise it and seehow long I could hold it up with his pushing it down. It immediately went down. that is either a good or bad sign, I don't limp. It was stronger before so maybe with the right exercises I can do it again. I held the left leg up much longer. I rolled up one rug which I tend to trip over. I like that rug. I will ask him again why i went down hill with the other therapists. He is really hyper and doesn't sugar coat anything.

I'm glad that Richard was nice. It sounds like he gave you a proper assessment. I'm very happy about that

It is a bad sign that you weren't able to keep your right leg up... it means it's very weak and needs some work to strengthen it. He will probably want to do a lot of work on that, and give you exercises to help with it. I'm glad that you will tell him about your former PTs and ask why they may not have been able to help you. I know that question really bothers you

When I was a home health aide and PTs or visiting RNs came into homes, they always recommended that patients get rid of area/throw rugs because they could lead to trip and falls. I'm sorry you have to pull up your pretty one
Corey wanted one in the living room, and I said "no" unless he wanted to put it under the coffee table.

Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Supplemental Plans work differently than other plans. There are only "deductibles" for certain things.
If you have a Medicare supplement plan, I thought they would cover the 20% Medicare won't pay. I didn't know that those plans had deductibles... I'm sorry you have to pay that Bobby. How much is your deductible, Bobby?

I live in MA where you can't get a Medicare Supplement plan if you are under 65 unless you have end-stage kidney disease.
