I'm glad that Derrick didn't have a seizure despite the situation and his anxiety over it. I hope that his reactions to bumps in the road get better as he gets more comfortable with his environment and the community there. I'm glad his roommate tried to help.

I'm sorry that you are getting all of that shitty snow. I imagine that those kind of forecasts give you the same sense of anxiety they give me
I wish you didn't have to go out to the hospital

I hope that your infection stays under control so that you can have your surgery within the time frame you want

Poor Harmony! Sick with a staph infection, and now cutting another tooth!

Well we got the awful weather. We have blowing and other things.

It was a rough drive to town today. Took lots of extra time.
I got all my errands ran, except for getting my prescription
I left it. And will go back. But I have almost a week to worry
on that.

Think hopefully all is well. Schools were mainly closed around
hear today.

Well we got probably 4 to 5 more inches of snow. The temperature
is down in the negatives again today. I believe its to hit -20 with
wind chill. I hate this but don't want to go out. So guess I'm
not.

Luckily I have no pressing cases and can do most things on the
phone or email. Which is my preference, (email).
I really hope that soon we get some nice weather. But not
thinking even the Friday and so that we are supposed to get is
going to happen.
I'm worried about the weather next week. And am worried
about just spending one night in hospital and coming home.
If its bad. If I didn't have Derrick's dog we could leave my dog
with Kortni and Danny. And Dale or someone around here could
check on the rest of the pack. Along with leaving plenty of food
for them. And we could stay in a hotel.

I am still contemplating checking with Dale about this anyway.
And just having someone come check on the animals.

Talked to Derrick yesterday. He is excited they started the safeserv training.
And will be starting to learn about knifes he thinks about the 5th week.

They have other testing first. He is on what they call level 3, which is
independently bus and town. So he was excited, he and one other
boy got to this. And its interesting its the other young man in his program.

I'm glad that you have the option to work at home unless you have a pressing case. You're really getting lousy weather. It's good to know that you're safe at home for the time being.

Do you have to stay in the hospital for a night for the pre-op, or are you thinking ahead to the surgery?
I hope that you are able to figure out what to do with the animals... but I'm sure that you will.

I love hearing about how Derrick is doing. I'm happy he's so excited about the program, and he's been given some freedom

Thanks ladies.

Your really good for my ego. And with schools cancelling or
delaying working from home is an necessity. But were
are all working as best as we can.

I had an memory on facebook yesterday, of one of my old
co-workers who died of breast cancer 5 years ago. I never
forget about her anyway, but it was nice that her death report
with all her great things came into the feed.

She is one of the main reason's I started having mammograms
a few years ago. Because for some reason, now I'm guessing
its because of my problems with this issue. I always got upset
and worried when she had flares of the cancer.

I will always miss her, but will always associate my life now with
living and her having given me courage.

Derrick called me last night. I could tell he was tired.

I think he just needed to talk. But he had been playing
basketball with his fitness mentor. And gotten back to the
following and a couple other things.

His roommate, was wanting to go out and get pops. The
buses ran probably 30 more minutes when he called. I'm
sure this started lots earlier. I told him to just tell his
roommate, that going out this late was a no. And he had
already told him, that he just goes down and gets a pepsi
at the canteen like downstairs. He then worried he would
want to go tonight, but he has an community mentor he
is having supper with tonight. So he said, I don't want to
go out before this. And we are going to restaurant and getting
to know each other. I suggested he just ask her, if she would
mind stopping on way back if nothing else. To get some with
his food stamps. But his roommates parents live 30 miles away.
So he really could just ask them to bring some.

Next he tells me that there have been issues. Two of the people
in programs, one his roommate and the girl in his program are
fighting sounds like. And they want to send messages and put
him and a few others in the middle. So he at least reported this.

Then he told me about a situation. That I would have reacted same.
And pretty much told him. He has one person in the group that
is physically handicapped. So much so that he has a room by himself.
They aren't allowed into each others rooms. But I guess this kid,
decided he didnt' want to go downstairs and visit with others. So he
lied and hollered out and had all 9 I believe in the programs running
to his room because he said he was hurt and couldn't get up.

He said, there was no staff at the time, and they didn't want him hurt
so they went. But the kid was not hurt or even on the ground. Also
he has I guess 9 phones in room put around so he can get help from
anywhere. Sounds like the kids learned at the point of entering.

He said, mom we broke the rules but we were upset and worried.
So he says, I had to report this to the main staff too. I feel for
him, I could tell he was tired and stressed. And he was worried
about passing an test soon. So was really studying.

The life of mom and the kid that is the most mature of mine. Per
his dad.
