I saw my councilor Thursday. I see her again in two weeks. I have another doctors appt. at the beginning of the year.
There was a communications break down. I don't remember anyone telling me what kidney disease is. The doctor on Tuesday about wiped me out with to much information that I wasn't prepared to hear, and I was alone at the hospital. BF

Just read your post, I'm so saddened to know you had to wait so long for your appt and then be told in a rush and while you're on your own so it's so hard to absorb. I hope you can make an appointment with his practice nurse and ask if they could please go over it all again with you so you can be sure you have all the information you need to move forward and manage your life. My heart feels heavy for you, I can well understand how hurt and shocked you are. Sending virtual hugs and support

Pamela June has a good idea...
maybe there is at least a nurse in the office who can take some time to explain things better to you... they usually have better bed side manners, and tend to be less clinical, anyway. I'm glad that you are seeing you councilor. Call if you need to see her more often

Thank you everybody. I'm going to try to find a chat group on the computer for people having problems with their kidneys also. My councilor recommended it.
I thank you all for your words of compassion, and sympathy for me. BF

I feel so badly b****ing about MY kidney problems…
How is it that I got an appointment in a week, and they left you flapping in the wind so long with such serious issues? I hope that you call the office next week and can get some clear information from someone, or another appointment to see the doctor soon And I hope that you can find a good forum to get support and more information from other people who have gone through/are going through what you are now

I don't understand why I have to wait until January 2nd to see this specialist again. I am already worried big time about the possible warning signs of this new illness. BF
