We are going to see an out door play tonight called " electra"

WE are supposed to go and get crawfish for dinner to tonight but jeff is not home yet and he is watching golf in a fancy box seats with free liquor and food. His friend drove so he is not back yet.

The play was greek mythology.
WE enjoyed it.
I was a little bit cold but mostly warm, I should have brought a scarf!
I am cold natured though and am waiting for the heat to arrive. Although it was 79 today.....The wind is what made it chilly tonight.
WE ate a lot of food for dinner.
Had almonds before dinner then went for char broiled oysters which were not as good as usual. Something about the cheese....I did not really like them.
I complained to the waitress and wrote it up on a comment card.
I had steamed veggies with crawfish ettoufe on top with melted cheese, the good kind of cheese.That was delicious! Hubby had boiled crawfish and he really like them. He shared half of a red/new potato and I dipped into his dip that he made with horseradish. IT was really good. AM trying to watch my carb intake.
anyway....
I will get back to really dieting on monday. Jeff leaves on wednesday to fly to INDY to see his mom and give a talk about eddy van halen at a conference. His colleague is speaking about steely dan.....
Indy had 6 inches of snow which is unheard of for almost april! Wonder if it will all melt by wednesday.
It is time to think about getting ready for bed, I want to read some about refuge recovery. from a Budda mindset.

my husband will be out of town starting wednesday thru the weekend. I have been known to stay on line for 6 hours.....when he is gone.

All those type of sites can draw you in. I used to post on other forums, and when I needed an answer, or was really looking for feedback, I would constantly check back, too.

I know that's not the same as your internet addiction tho...

I don't know what to say except that I'm glad that your other addictions are under control
And I'm glad that you have these forums so you can stay connected while Jeff's gone

I could be really disciplined and lose 2 pounds like try a fast and intermitant fasting. Maybe just try one meal a day.
I don't know That sounds more reasonable and doable than a complete fast..
This also falls after easter. I gave up alcohol for lent but could try for longer.... like a dry march. Well actually april 1st is easter and that would be a dry march!
My husbands best friend gave up alcohol for lent too. He does this every year to prove to himself that he is not an alcoholic. I know that I am an alcoholic/binge drinker. He has invited me over for an easter party. If I go I will take an uber there and back from my house.
I may decline but I don't know at this point. Being sober feels pretty good. Like I said, jeff is gone so I could really keep up with a healthy week if I try. I am giving myself permission either way. I have not said yes to his invite. He really wants me to come.
He will get s@#it faced.
Do I really want to watch that? Who else will be there? I should ask him. Perhaps that will help me make a decision. I can't see drinking by myself. What is the fun in that?
I am more of a social drinker, but have social anxiety. I usually drink to deal with the anxiety.
But I definitely have gone to bars by myself to drink.

I clicked with my new therapist. I share with her mostly freely. Some of my ashamed past is difficult to verbalize. She has a great memory which is truly a blessing. And she can follow my story telling. The past is really peppered and difficult to summarize. I found a 12 year old diary and read it to her.
This past session was about shame and vulnerability. I brought up the topics.
I did not want to focus on addictions like we have been.
