Bobby

i would say 5 minutes twice an day is a very good amount.

I would also say if the second time isn't something taht comes
up. Don't sweat it. I can say that I spent 10 minutes on the
bike the other day. I almost always spent 10 minutes on a bike
at therapy. I will be spending a Little less and working up
now. I was having a sore back.

I think loneliness has a lot to do with it. I only like kind people and staying in the apartment doesn't help me meet people. I told the P.T. to go easier. she showed me how to walk up stairs. I have to start with the strong leg and couldn't do it with the weak one. That is why I lost my balance the other night and had so much trouble. I think my depression comes back at night. I am taking 2mg of klonopin. I hope the psychiatrist refills the prescription.

On stairs, you "go up with the good, and down with the bad," which means when you climb the stairs, you start going up with your good leg, and when you go down you start with your bad leg.

Does your PT think that your cane is the right length for you?

I'm sorry that your depression sets in at night
I think that is common. A lot of people start to feel lonely at night, especially very late at night

I'm glad that after taking your pills seems to let your depression during the day
I hope that your pdoc gives you a refill for the Klonopin.

the p.t. adjusted the cane. I could hardly walk when I got out of bed. My lower back really hurt. I am fighting depression now. the pills are not working as well.Pudge really ate this morning and finally did her routine of following me to the kitchen so I added more food to her dish and she is still eatig. cecilia invited me over yesterday for tiramisu. I am sort of worried. I made the appt with new psychiatrist on may 20. I wonder if I should have made it earlier.

That's good about Pudge.

I hope that the adjustments to the cane help.

I wake up very depressed and then I take the pills and the depression lifts. I am hoping she writes a script for klonopin because that is the only thing that works.I am very nervous. It is alful to be so dependent on drugs and a person prescribing them

I'm glad that your PT adjusted the length of your cane for you. It can make a big difference. I don't know why she didn't do it before.

Please try not to second-guess yourself about not making the appointment with the other pdoc earlier. Your last appointment with your current one went well, and that's why you decided to wait. It was the right decision for you at the time

It is lousy to be dependent on medications, but some of us really need to be on them, myself included. I wish that you had someone that you could depend on to prescribe you what you need when you need it- without any hassle. I hope that your pdoc will write the Klonopin script for you. It's obvious from reading your posts that the stuff she's tried giving you wasn't/isn't working

I'm glad that the pills are helping with your depression- at least right after you take them. I wonder why they're not working as well at different times of the day. That's something I think you should ask your pdoc about (((HUGS)))
