I am sorry....Any talk about meds to lower your heart rate?
((((HUGS)))) bizi |
is there medication?
Beta-blockers - can be used to slow down your heart rate, and improve blood flow through your body. You may take this drug if you have been diagnosed with irregular heartbeats, or high blood pressure. Some examples of this medication may include: Metoprolol (Lopressor®), propanolol (Inderal®), and atenolol (Tenormin®). |
If i remember right digoxin slows down your heart rate and strengthens contractions.

I am furious. I think I will call my heart doctor for an appt. My previous doctor did do an ekg and it was normal. I don't know what to do.

My heart rate is high, too. Anxiety can definitely do it. 60-100 beats per minute is normal, but a little outside that range is usually not serious.
It doesn't always need treatment, so I don't want you to get too upset, especially since your EKG AND stress test were normal, but... I agree with Mari. It couldn't hurt to call your doctor to address this concern. He/she can explain why you aren't on meds for it :hug::hug: |
I will ask the cardiologist in nov. The adorable rabbi is coming over this afternoon. I think I will try to take a nap after I drink my coffee.
as i wrote my prior doctor just did an ekg because of it and found nothing abnormal. it is also hard to reach my doctor and she works only three times a week. |
