I'm lost Robert now has two dogs. I don't remember the story
about Danny is it.

But glad he is keeping him..

mymorgy 03-22-2019 10:57 AM

Mickey died and robert just adopted danny.

mymorgy 03-22-2019 11:03 AM

I was turning the corner and then I fell and got up and fell again. Then a little later I wound up on the floor and I couldn't get up. finally I crawled over to the bike and held on and lifted myself up. yesterday I went for a three block walk. I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Dmom3005 03-22-2019 02:20 PM

Bobby

I would be looking at if one of your feet is giving out under neath you.
I would think if the 3 block walk was going to be a problem you would
have been falling yesterday. I honestly don't know though.

I'm wondering were you off balance or dizzy when you started falling.
Donna :hug::grouphug:

mymorgy 03-22-2019 04:23 PM

I was off balance

bizi 03-22-2019 11:33 PM

Glad you were able to get up using the bike.
sorry for the falls, do you hurt yourself?
after 3 falls I bet you have some bruising.

Sorry about the falls....

I have been feeling my head like.... floating ? I havent fell but felt like I was going to.... it is a nasty feeling

Take care there Bobby

mymorgy 03-23-2019 05:54 AM

they weren't hard falls. I was more scared that the last time I couldn't get up and had to crawl to the bike to lift myself up.

That sounds so unpleasant, and scary!:hug::hug:

This sounds a little like a mild form of vertigo.
Do you get migraines?

OhKay 03-23-2019 08:03 AM

I'm so glad that you didn't seriously injure yourself, Bobby! It must have been really scary when you couldn't get up off the floor! (((HUGS)))

You can go back over your posts if you want, but it's clear to me from reading about your falls, I see a clear pattern...
They happen after you overexert yourself/overdo it :hug::hug:

I'm concerned that you may be having a hard time recognizing your own limits, and may not be listening hard enough to what your body is telling you.
What did your body feel like WHILE you were walking those 3 blocks AND BACK?

I know that you want to be more active, but I think that sometimes you are pushing yourself too hard, too fast. I think slow and steady is probably the best plan :hug::hug:

I realize that is the pot calling the kettle black...

mymorgy 03-23-2019 01:00 PM

I think you are right. I wanted to save six dollars. I went to the hairdresser.
I realized today my right leg hurts more. The antidepressant isn't working much.that is the first time. I sent in to switch my annuity from variable to fixed. we can drop letters in our building. I used the cane to go downstairs. I usually don't. I needed it today..

Mari 03-23-2019 01:01 PM

Bobby,

I'm glad that you are o.k. and that you know you have the option to use the stationary bike to get back up.

Dmom3005 03-23-2019 03:16 PM

Bobby

I have had to start using things to get up the last year or so.
So I really know what its like. But when I start to get where
I'm getting dizzy and unbalanced then its not so much I've
over worked my self there is something else going on usually.

I've not exactly figured out what it is. But I just try to stay
quiet and seated, and I take my cane with me as much as possible
when that starts in my house too.

Sometimes its a vertigo and I'm really working on watching my ears
when that happens.

i am so sorry. i hope you don't fall. I wound up having so much trouble walking the other day. everything hurt. i wonder if the p.t. is really helping or that nerve damage can't be helped. Have you gone to the doctor about it?

I am so, so, so sorry to say this Bobby, but sometimes nerve damage can't be repaired, and after a certain point, you have to accept that it's permanent (((((HUGS)))))

And when an injury is permanent, PT is to build up the muscles surrounding the damaged area and/or the other side of the body to build up strength or work around the problem in other ways so people can walk or function better :hug::hug:

I really fought using a cane, but I need one, and have been using one for about 10yrs now. I don't use it at home, but have had to in the past.

I think you should try using the cane whenever you are out- even if it's for a sense of security. You get used to having one :hug::hug:

mymorgy 03-24-2019 01:12 PM

whenever I leave the building I take my cane. I guess her making me use my muscles might hurt short term but help long time.

my lower back didn't hurt as much this morning. I was able to sit up with not much trouble. Marci rubbed my back with nutmeg oil

OhKay 03-27-2019 07:38 AM

I'm glad that your back felt better yesterday. It was nice or Marci to rub that on your back.

How are you feeling today?

mymorgy 03-28-2019 05:44 AM

my back still feels better. i gained back three pounds. my appetite has returned

OhKay 03-28-2019 07:51 AM

I'm glad that your back feels better! :)
Have you been using the Blue Emu at all? Did it help, or did you have to switch to something else?

I'm sorry that you gained 3 pounds back, but it's a good thing that your appetite has returned. I didn't know that it was off for so long

mymorgy 03-29-2019 06:44 AM

I used nutmeg oil and Marci massaged it. I haven't used blue emu in a while.
I am now waiting for the antidepressant to work. It feels so good not to be depressed. I can lie in bed and do nothing and feel good.

OhKay 03-29-2019 09:45 AM

I'm happy that the antidepressant is working sometimes :)

Are you mostly laying in bed all day?

Dmom3005 03-29-2019 09:52 AM

I'm wondering does the antidepressant only seem
to work after you have taken it?

I'm just curious if that is what you mean.

Donna

OhKay 03-29-2019 10:30 AM

That is a good question, Donna. I don't understand that either.

mymorgy 03-29-2019 01:44 PM

i am mostly lying in bed all day. i don't have a couch. i usually wake up depressed and within five minutes it starts to work

Dmom3005 03-29-2019 02:54 PM

In other words bobby you wake up thinking your depressed and
then you can take your meds and they are working right away.

That is good. I would say that its more that they are somewhat
already working, that you are depressed more because you woke
up. And are needing to get up. I have that problem too.

Till I finally get started with my day. But that I can totally get.
And that makes sense. More than what you usually write.

And its fine that way. Sorry if it seems weird to keep asking.
I just didn't understand. I'm glad its all it is.

Donna :hug::grouphug:

mymorgy 03-29-2019 03:24 PM

no i am depressed when i wake up. until i take the pill and wait a few minutes i am fine. it is real depression

OhKay 03-30-2019 08:21 AM

What are you taking Bobby? Pills usually have to be absorbed, and usually don't work that fast.

I'm glad that they are working so fast for you tho! :)

mymorgy 03-30-2019 09:46 AM

aplentin is the antidepressant

OhKay 03-31-2019 07:59 AM

I couldn't find that online. The closest I could find was another generic name for gabapentin in another country.

mymorgy 03-31-2019 08:56 AM

Aplenzin Oral : Uses, Side Effects, Interactions, Pictures, Warnings & Dosing - WebMD
i didn't realize how expensive it is.

OhKay 04-01-2019 07:30 AM

Holy S- is that expensive!!! Are you getting samples?

So, from what I read, it contains bupropion, so is similar to Wellbutrin, etc. But is an extended release atypical antidepressant that is taken once a day, and can be taken in higher doses, so it is good for patients who have been treatment-resistant in the past. It also has a low incidence of associated weight gain (:)).

So, aside from HEFTY the price, it sounds good. I didn't look up any of the side effects tho because you seem to be doing well, and I'm not going to stir the pot.

I really hope that this is the magic bullet, and it lifts your depression for you for a long, long time, Bobby :hug::hug:

mymorgy 04-02-2019 03:00 AM

I get a prescription and with epic a senior ny program I pay 30 dollars for three months. the insurance company had to approve the drug. I really like my new psychiatrist.she is gentle but sharp. she told me I have to go to bed at ten to help my anxiety. I finally feel asleep close to 11:30. I put blue emu on my back and it helped big time. she is going to wean me off of lexapro because she said it can cause anxiety.

OhKay 04-02-2019 09:11 AM

This is the new-new pdoc you are talking about, right? Not the one who wanted you to bring the cats in?

She sounds like a good pdoc.
Is she taking care of you as far as Klonopin is concerned?

I'm SO GLAD that you have that extra insurance so you can get that med because it sounds so promising, and it seems like it is already helping :):):)

mymorgy 04-02-2019 09:15 AM

this is the brand new doctor. first time i saw her. she is giving me 2mg of klonopin twice a day

OhKay 04-02-2019 09:39 AM

Is that the dosing that you wanted?

mymorgy 04-02-2019 11:13 AM

yes it is. the same as before

Dmom3005 04-02-2019 11:26 AM

Glad that she is going to work out. And glad that she is
going to wean you off the lexapro if it causes anxiety.

hmmm, I will have to look that up. I find that interesting.
