Honestly I think it might be more because Prince is showing you
affection than because of the medicines. I think she is a little
jealous of his liking you.

I'm glad she and you are doing things again.

The PT might just be more trying to figure out what you can and
can't do. Just set down your own rules and stick to them. When
it comes to what you can and can't do.

I fell down today for the first time in a while. She mentioned using the bike and I told her I was afraid because of my balance. she said we were going to work on my balance. It didn't make sense to me.So far I haven't really hurt myself with my falls.
You might be right about Cecilia.

Bobby

Working on the bike while she is there is okay. Let her know when
she comes back that you fell today. Its really important.

Also if you can do the bike for a little when she is there, show her how
its not safe for you to do it when there isn't anyone there that is trained
for helping you with it. Letting her know that people like Marci aren't
trained is good too. Because they aren't, and they shouldn't be used
for this. Until you are comfortable with them being. So don't let
her try having them helping you with it. Some will try that too.

I used to do a bike, it might not be the one you have. When I went
to therapy, to warm up before therapy. But if I was having problems,
or anything. They would stop the bike and help me get off.

That was one way they could tell I was off that day.

We have a glove with rubbery nibs raised so you can brush your cats and easily get fur off of them. It also works on towels. Jeff layed down 2 towels for the cats to lay on while we were gone. and they were really furry by the time we got back. So he just used the glove and got all of the fur off the towels... :)

I'm so sorry you fell, Bobby!
I'm so happy you didn't hurt yourself tho! I have also been lucky about not falling lately, and not hurting myself either (knock on wood).

I remember you bought a regular exercise bike vs. a recumbent one (close to the ground with a seat that has a back)...
So, I agree 100% with Donna. Don't use the bike while you are alone. It's not safe. And Marci is there to clean, not to be an attendant or personal caregiver, so it's not her job to spot you. Can't believe the PT would suggest otherwise...

How is the new book?

mymorgy 07-05-2018 09:49 AM

realy great. practically finished. will start another book by her. think I got a black and blue. The new Rabbi called me and is coming over tomorrow at 3:30
after the therapist. When I went to the post office with Marci who is about my size she was so careful with me she made me nervous lol. I am afraid of falling off the bike because of my balance. I will stress that.

mymorgy 07-05-2018 04:10 PM

the p.t. went really well ...there is hope. she had me do a lot of things at my pace and was very careful

Good, Remember they are supposed to feel you out to see what
you are comfortable doing and not doing also. So that might have
been some what how she was doing things. But honestly with
her there, and watching like a hawk, there might be good use of
the bike for you to work on it. So she can see how it might not
be safe for you.

Also keep working through things with her, have her help you
figure out some things to do when she isn't there that are
good for you. That you will feel safe doing. It will get easier as
time goes. I had to build up to feeling safe.
