Thank you ladies!!!

Saturday was a s- show...

The grocery store was packed, and hard to get through, but I remained in a good mood until I found out that they didn't have any hams even close to the small size I was looking for... I teared up, but didn't cry because I can't. At that point, getting through the rest of the store was just unbearable. I ended up having to go to another grocery store right after to buy the ham. I had to park at the back of the parking lot and hoof it into and through the store. Between fighting through 2 grocery stores and the traffic, I was gone for over 2 hours. It was a nightmare.

By the time I got home, my legs (and nerves) were shot, so I smoked some MJ and felt a little better. It's a CBC hybrid, so it helps with pain and spasticity, but isn't sedating. It is actually energizing.

I still had to make the scratch brownies as planned. That took another 2 hours on my feet (with breaks). And I later found the time to put the f'ing presents in the bags. I was not exactly in the holiday spirit by then.

Yesterday at my MIL's house turned out to be really pleasant. Corey's step father's cousin and his wife were there, and they are very nice people. We all felt my SIL's absence, but she wasn't there because she chose to book a last minute vacation. Fortunately, I didn't have to go to the BR while I was there, or when I got home. I took a 3rd Imodium last night so I wouldn't wake up to go to the BR at 3-4am again because I really, really needed (and still need) to sleep.

I feel sick and uncomfortable this morning because I've been overeating.

Corey and I have today and Christmas Day to ourselves, which is fine by us. We will enjoy one another's company, and I relish the thought that the holiday stress is over. I did invite my MIL over tho. I'm sure she doesn't know that my SIL just plans on a quick trip over tomorrow, and not an extended stay. Even tho we were over last night, she will be sad if she is alone with her "charming" husband for the actual holidays. I invited her to dinner, but she accepted my invitation just to come over for a visit.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it!
And a happy long weekend to those who do not!

I didn't do much yesterday. I was exhausted! I did some light cleaning, and took a long nap.

I watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation last night. I had hoped to watch more Christmas movies, but I slept too long, and was busy cleaning, cooking and doing dishes the rest of the time
I'm hell-bent on watching many more today tho. We gave up on putting up a tree or decorating anything because the cats destroy everything. So, the movies kinda remind me it's Christmas.

I'll be making ham, mashed potatoes, and green beans for dinner tonight. It will be much easier than making a turkey. The ham didn't come with a glaze packet, so I will make my own. It will be a nice dinner. The kitties will get some because it's Christmas

I still need to catch up on my sleep...

I hope everyone has a peaceful day today

Dinner turned out wonderful. I did a really good job making the glaze this year. I can't believe how much Corey ate... I made him a huge plate, which he pretty much licked clean, then I caught him eating more ham in the kitchen lol. We will never be able to eat all the leftovers.

Rocky was crying and rubbing up against me most of the time the ham was in the oven, and it was driving me nuts. I thought he was going to have a heart attack when he finally got some. He inhaled it! Talk about a happy kitty! I called Buddy into the kitchen, and tried to give him some too, but he showed no interest, probably because of the glaze. So, Rocky ate his, too. Dottie won't eat anything but cat food- not even cat treats, so I didn't bother trying to give her any.

I ended up with a sink full of dishes that are still sitting there. But I'm not going anywhere, so I'm trying not to let them bother me until I'm good and ready to take care of them.

My new belly really doesn't know what to do with itself. I haven't taken any Imodium since Sunday, but I really can't go to the BR in any meaningful way. My stomach is very distended. I guess I will just have to drink even more fluids and let it sort itself out because I can't take laxatives. IDK, maybe I will stop taking that 2nd dose of FiberCon for a while. I just can't win...

I'm going to try to get to the butcher shop tomorrow to get something special for New Year's Eve.

Kay

I honestly think you are doing wonderfully. Keep it up.

We had a great christmas. We had Harmony, Kortni and Dan over
on Saturday for their christmas presents or most of them. I wasn't
expecting them. I didn't read the texts and was expecting them the
next day as usual anyway it went good. Dan still got some on Tuesday.

Devin and his family got theirs on Christmas Eve, they liked theirs pretty
well. And Meluvja was surprised with her Box with teddy bears all over
it. She probably loved that the most. She loves teddy bears.
I found it interesting that I believe Will's favorite present was a book we
got him. So that was different.

I got a Minnie Mouse watch and a cute canister of things for my pampering and things for my car. From Derrick, the Minnie Mouse watch and my new
slippers are from Dale. A gift card from Devin and Meluvja for Logan's

Thank you, Donna!
I'm glad that you had such a nice Christmas!

Corey and I haven't exchanged presents for Christmas, birthdays, or our anniversary for years. Sometimes I will buy him things that he needs like slippers hats, wallets, etc tho. We buy what we want or need throughout the year, so we don't see the point. I got a new MacBook Air earlier this year, so I can't complain.

I did buy myself a Christmas present this year tho... a new set of knives that I desperately needed. They were on sale, I had a 20% off coupon, and I had a $50 gift card from my FIL, so they only cost me just over $50. I'm in love with them:

J.A. Henckels International(R) Statement 15-Piece Knife Block Set | Bed Bath & Beyond

I am wicked constipated. My abdomen is very distended, and I'm very uncomfortable. I put a call into the surgeon's office to ask if it's safe to take a laxative, and which one would be okay. I'm waiting for a call back.

Somehow I can sleep on my stomach again! It's wonderful because it's my natural sleep position and I feel so much more comfy when I go to bed
Buddy loves it too because he can sleep on my back

I've been taking naps- long ones. It's going to take me a while to recover from all the running around I did leading up to Christmas.

Kay,

We don't exchange presents on scripted holidays either.
We do buy things for the other person when we see something
or think of something as it comes to our attention.

So cute that Buddy lies on your back.

Those knives were a great deal with the sale and the coupon.
Enjoy cooking.

Buddy sometimes likes to sleep on my chest if I'm laying on my back, which was a big problem post-op because he was constantly stepping on my stomach to get up there. He finally got the hint, and started laying right up against my right side instead. Sometimes he sleeps between my legs, too. He is a snuggle bug and gets into bed with me at night, and is there when I wake up in the morning

I finally got a call back from my surgeon's admin this morning. The message was that I could take Mirilax, but not too much, and not too often. I took some when I got off the phone with her. I have no idea if or when it will work, but I need relief. I wonder if it will work super-quick because my gut is so short now?

I'm not going anywhere today. I need to go to the BR, and hope I will. I have to go grocery shopping tomorrow. I hate to do it because I'm constipated, but I will probably take an Imodium in the morning because I don't want to have to s- my brains out at the supermarket.

Since I'll be home all day again, I should do some cleaning. I guess I'll start with the BR. There is work to do in the kitchen. I see no point in doing the floors today because it's raining out, and Corey will come home and track s- all over them.
