Around noon, Janet left a message to tell me that we could move into the downstairs apartment on the 15th. 20 minutes later, she called to tell me that the guy who's currently living there isn't going to move out until March 1st, so the apartment wouldn't be ready until March 15th. Then she offered to show me a 2nd floor apartment in the building next door that would be ready on the 1st...

It would be a BIG downgrade from our current apartment, $50 more in rent, and the tenant above has a bunch of s- out on their balcony covered with a tarp, so every time it rains, water would drip all over us when we were outside. So, thanks, but no thanks. And that's all they are offering us.

We can't wait for that apartment until March 15th. We have to get out of here!!!
So, we will have to start looking elsewhere.
That means we may be forced to re-home Dottie...

I've been crying for hours, and I never cry

I've about had it with their switch-a-roo bulls-. First with the pest control people, and now with the apartment situation. Maybe it's a good thing that we have to move out of here. I don't want to hear another f'ing word from Janet in a long, long time. I wish them luck trying to find anyone willing to stay here with those a/h's upstairs. Oh, wait... no I don't.

We'll give our notice on Feb. 1st, and I'll have to find a suitable place to live in a f'ing rush. No pressure, right? I'm f'ing frantic. I can't take this s- and I'm going to have to deal with Corey on top of it all

I'm very sad this morning. I'm also very angry. And I'm very anxious. So, it's fair to say I'm a f'ing mess

Today we have to focus on moving all the furniture so pest control can spray, and getting the kitties ready to go. I'm not looking forward to listening to the poor things cry for 4 hours straight. And they may be stuck in their carriers for longer than necessary because all the pest control company gave us was a 12-3pm window of when they would be here, and we can't corral them into their carriers at the last minute.

Corey snuck out and went to the office yesterday afternoon. I think most of what he said was "F-" They fed him a bunch of BS, and he wasn't having any of it. While I wish he didn't go, I won't apologize for him, or what he said. I called the office when he got home. They have caller ID, so nobody picked up. I left a message very calmly asking if they need their one month's notice verbally or in writing.

I have a month to find a new place, but we would like to move sooner.
I am going to view a townhouse on Friday morning. The owner is open to the 3 cats. I don't know what to expect, but it's worth a shot. I have two more good leads, but I don't know if they would let us take all of the cats. I will keep looking because there are always new apartments being listed. I will find something. I always find a way to work things out. I just need to keep reminding myself of that.

I saved that voicemail from Janet saying that we could move into the downstairs apartment on February 15th, not that it will do me any good. I'm going to let all her calls go to voicemail from now on. I don't want to talk to her anyway.

I have to go to the office today to pay the rent and will officially give them our one month's notice. I will make Corey stay in the car.

I am sorry you are a mess today. You have every right to your feelings. I am sure you are a bit overwhelmed with every thing that you are dealing with.
I have to say don't even think about the town house with all of those stairs!

I am very overwhelmed. All I will say is I need to see my pdoc. I will make an appointment today.

The pest control guys came yesterday (Thursday).
Corey moved all the furniture, and even got the dust buster out to clean up behind some of the things he moved!!! I had to clean up a boat load of dried nasty cat puke that was behind the bed, vacuum in the office, etc. I had a really hard time catching all the cats, and every one of them fought me tooth and nail when I tried to put them in their carriers. The pest control guys came right before noon, so we all had to be out of the apartment until 4.

Janet called me in the morning to tell me they needed our 1 month's notice in writing per our tenant at will (month to month lease). I asked her how they "forgot" when the guy who's living in that downstairs apartment was moving out if he also had to submit his notice in writing, and she told me to worry about my own business. When I dropped off my written notice and final rent check, only Eric from maintenance was there, and he said, "yeah, I heard Dan decided to stay an extra month." So, the office is just FOS ALL THE TIME. Anyway... I had Eric sign the bottom of the letter I wrote saying we were moving, and asked him to make a copy of it so they can't say they never received it.

We drove around for hours to a lot to random places because we really didn't have anywhere to go. The kitties weren't as bad in the car as I expected, but I still felt so sorry for them

The vet appointment wasn't until 3. But we ran out of places to go, and arrived there at 2, and they agreed to see them early. All the kitties got their front and back claws clipped and got Rabies shots.
They took Buddy first. I can't believe how badly he behaved!!! I have never heard him hiss like THAT!!!! WOW!!! He was terrible! He is healthy and in perfect shape tho
Then they took Rocky, who was VERY badly behaved and VERY STRESSED. I wanted blood work done because he has lost so much weight, but they had to sedate him to do it, then give him another med to reverse that one. The vet is convinced there is something wrong with him because of his weight loss.
Dottie pooped, peed, and puked in her carrier as usual, but she was just a little angel at the vet's. He said her sneezing was probably because she has Feline Herpes and her immune system can't clear it, but she also has an upper respiratory infection right now, so I agreed to an injection of antibiotics that would last for 2 weeks. Aside from being obese, she appears to be healthy. They took her poop from the carrier to test for parasites.
I will have the results of the tests today.
I never asked how much anything was because I wanted them to get taken care of. So, the visit cost us $710.
Buddy and Dottie seem to have already recovered from yesterday's ordeal, but poor Rocky hasn't yet

When we got home, Corey moved the furniture back into place, and plugged everything back in (we had to unplug everything, too). And I had to give poor Dottie a bath
But she was pretty well behaved, especially given the day she had. She seemed to really enjoy being wrapped up in the towels and massaged so I could dry her off.

I view the townhouse at 10 this morning. I have a feeling that there will only be off-street parking for one car tho, and that will be a deal-breaker, but I guess I will find out about that soon.

I am going to chase down some leads today, and continue my search. I am NOT ready to re-home Dottie, so I am asking places if they will accept the 3 kitties. It's going to be very difficult. We have a lot of wants and needs...

I have to get into the shower now so I won't be late for the viewing.

That is a hefty bill but as you say they are family and you want them well. It was good to get everything done. As they werer all there. Glad that they trimmed their nails front and back.
I did not know that dottie has feline herpes is it transmitable to the other kitties? There is an antibiotic shot that lasts 2 weeks!!!!! I wonder why the vet never suggested that to us...giving pills to our hattie is such an ordeal!!!!
