Dottie has been laying on the couch next to me this morning. I keep loving her up, but I've been just crying and crying. I guess I will be doing that for a long time

Kay

I'm so sorry you are having to do this. But I think you will love
your new place. And there is nothing you can do about Dottie.

I'm so sorry you are having to take her to the humane society.
I'm glad you will give them the food she eats. And the litter box
for her. Even a donation. I'm guessing if they can they will
get her the greatest home.

I went to PetSmart yesterday and bought a bag of the Blue Buffalo food I've been feeding the kitties and a package of 40 Kitty Caps (they're the same as Soft Paws) to start Dottie's new parent(s)'s out. I didn't buy a litter box because it occurred to me that I have no idea what whoever adopts her would want in their home. Maybe I can ask the people at the Humane Society if I should buy one and drop it off later?

I don't know if I'm going to keep crying like this up until I give Dottie away (next week) or not, or how long I will cry after. I started bawling in PetSmart, and the cashier asked if she could give me a hug. She gives good hugs.

My BIL can't help Corey move on Saturday. He's coming to help him on Friday instead, and he's bringing a friend. The 3 of them should be able to get a lot accomplished. I think I will be watching my two nephews while they work, which will be fun. Then Corey's friend is coming on Saturday. I think this move-in will be much easier on Corey than the last one. I don't know if I should book the U-Haul truck for 2 days or not. Probably. But I need to book it fast. Those things go quick. I will ask Corey, and book it online tonight.

Packing should be easier on me this time around since all the CDs, DVDs, and books are still packed up. I feel like I will be sitting on my hands for a while because we will be still using so much stuff leading up to the move tho. I'm happy I will have 6 whole days to clean this place and won't be rushed like last time.

I have a lot of s- to do. I have to follow up on some medical s-, and there's a lot of other s- I have to do related to the move. I need to make a list, or lists, so I can prioritize things and not get more overwhelmed. I'm glad I just bought myself a new notebook.

I see my pdoc today. I know I'm having an anxiety bomb, but I don't know if something more is going on. I guess I will just start talking and let her sort things out.

I guess I should get my ***** in the shower, like NOW.

Kay

I think its possible that the new owners will be thinking they are
the luckiest person in the world to get Miss Dottie

I love that you want to do this, So the thing is I think they will love you to pieces,
and I also think if you leave your contact information. They would
be more than happy to send you pictures and information on how
she is doing. I don't know if it would do either of you any good to
visit her. So I'm not going to suggest that. But I think the
pictures and updates would be good for you for sure.

I personally think when it comes to a litter box, that you could
take one to the humane society. If for some reason they don't want
it. And you don't mind I'm sure they would love to have an extra one.
But that would be my thought. Especially if you get a bigger one,
because I know sometimes they get big kitties.

K,

You have good plans. And you seem to have some wiggle room for
when things happen.

It was good you saw the pdoc. I hope she was helpful.

The last time we moved we paid a service to clean the old place --
even my cheap hubby was on board with that.

I'm sending hugs for all you are going through.

I want everything to work out for you.

Thank you so much, ladies

My pdoc was very concerned. No surprise there. She's having me increase the gabapentin by 100mg for 2 nights to see if that helps, but if there isn't enough improvement, increase it by another 100mg. If that doesn't work, I'll have to call her so we can come up with another plan. She's not worried about how much crying I'm doing about Dottie tho. She thinks it's understandable.

On the way back from my pdoc appointment, I stopped by the nail salon to see if Judy, or any of the other women there, knew of someone who would be willing to take Dottie in. They didn't, but Judy had me text her a picture of her, and write a little bit about her, and she's going to post it on her social media accounts to see if anyone out there is interested. Judy has a lot of followers, and hopefully one of them will fall in love with her picture and will want to adopt her.

Donna, I think you are right about the litter box. Someone will put it to good use if I bring it to the Humane Society.

I did a ridiculous amount of things yesterday. I straightened out the utilities, filled out the change of address form at the post office, went to my insurance agent to change the address on my renter's insurance, and reserved the U-Haul truck online. I had to make 2 phone calls about medical s-, too.

I know that I didn't have to take care of most of those things right away, but I would rather not have to worry about them, and getting things like that done is also a good means of distraction.

I took a 3 1/2 hour nap yesterday.
