Kay,

I'm reading your updates and seeing what you are going through and
getting done.

Thanks for telling us about what the pet store person said about Abbey . . .
Also they seemed confident about happily placing her.

Continued good luck as you go through the steps necessary to get
you and your stuff settled into your new place.

Thank you ladies :grouphug:

UGH... I'm super-sick. I have some kind of an upper respiratory infection, probably a virus, with lots of congestion and a cough. Mucinex DM was really helping yesterday- not so much this morning. Just what I needed...

Grocery shopping done.

I packed up all the shoes, with the exception of Corey's winter work boots, which are so big they need a box of their own. Not sure what I'll do with those yet... probably put them in a box of random s-. Then I went through the apartment like a Tasmanian Devil throwing s- out, and organizing it because it's too early to pack most of it up. I didn't get around to going through my cleaning products because I started on the other side of the apartment.
Then I hand shredded all the pay stubs Corey has been saving for years. I kept 4. That's all anyone ever asks for, if anyone ever asks. I have bought 2 paper shredders, and both of them were POS's that broke quickly, and I don't see the need to spend the money on a good one since I wouldn't be using it regularly.

So, today we're going to do laundry. Maybe if we get home early enough, I'll go through my cleaning products and start looking in the kitchen cabinets. IDK tho because I have a ton of ironing to do that I've been putting off for ages. But I may end up doing both.

Tomorrow is the day when I have to get all my shopping done. I had better get my list straight because I won't be able to waste any time making more shopping trips. I'm just going to have to guess how many and what size boxes I am going to need. It's better to have too many than not enough. Of course I will go out to get more of those if I need them tho.

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

I am totally overwhelmed by how much I have to do today...

I decided I needed rest, so I left too many things undone yesterday, and they will be kicking my a- today (dishes, filling pill case, putting laundry away, all that ironing). That's my own fault tho. But I've decided that I need to stick to my plan and go get my shopping done today, and take care of the other things when I get home/get time.

There's a problem tho. I don't think that the boxes will fit in my car with all the s- I have on my list. I need a new broom and dust pan, but that's to clean this apartment once it's empty, so I guess it can wait. I don't think anything else on my list, which I've gone over a million times, will be a problem tho. I think I have to take some stuff out of my car so the large boxes will fit in the backseat. IDK. I'll figure it out.

Corey started talking about keeping the disgusting cat condos this weekend. He was the biggest advocate for getting rid of them. He's only talking about keeping them now because he doesn't want to deal with disposing of them, so I threatened to call a junk removal company again, and that changed his mind pretty quickly lol. He said he could get rid of stuff on Friday too, which is the day we sign the lease, and the day before the movers come. He finally took something out to the dumpster this morning... the TV.

It snowed last night, and is snowing a little now, so I have to deal with that. UGH.

UGH! more snow!
I hope the boxes fit.

Personally I hope its not snowing as much as we got here in Indiana.

We had a mess yesterday and I think some today. Its a legal holiday
thankfully so many of your schools are closed. So they didn't have
to worry about e-learning days or make-up days. A few are having too
though.

But that is good for them. I'm off so its good for me too. So that is
good. Its been bad on our streets especially in the kokomo area,
and the highways over there. The lafayette area is bad too.

I am not sure about the South Bend area, but hoping they are having
better weather than we are. The southern part got hit too. Indy did
too.

Ugh, I'm ready for spring, if anyone sees it tell it we want it here in
Indiana. Oh and some good news for my Schools, Our girls team
basketball is headed for the state game on Saturday. And of course
Derrick and his Benton County Sharks the 8 of us are at the Polar Plunge
on Saturday at Purdue. We will have fun. Lets all hope for great weather.

Derrick will be out here on Friday night with me.

Kay,

Moving is hard so I can see why you might get overwhelmed.
I hope you did well today today/Monday with what you planned to achieve.

'Wishing you well. When is moving day?

We sign the lease on Friday and will get the keys to the apartment that day, so we can start moving some things in, but Saturday is the BIG moving day.

Because I took all that crap out of my car (jumper cables, shovel, tire inflator, etc), I was able to fit all the boxes in my trunk (with some help). I would have bought everything on my list, but they didn't have any full-sized brooms at Walmart!!!

I was out for almost 3 hours going to various stores trying to get everything I needed. Heading out, the roads were clear, but I take backroads, and they were bad on my way home. I saw 2 cars off the road, and one of them had hit a telephone pole.

I got everything I had to do done yesterday, with the exception of the ironing, which I will do this morning. I also managed to pack up the office (except the printer) and all of Corey's work clothes. I put bags over his huge winter work boots and shoved them into that box, so I don't have to worry about them anymore.

I know we are going to need more boxes than what I bought, but I'm going to have to do more packing before I can figure out what sizes and how many. I have to ask Corey what he needs to keep for the rest of the week in the vanity cabinet, and then I can pack up the linen closet. And after dinner tonight, I can start packing up the kitchen.

Rocky has been eating the tape at the bottom of the boxes I packed and puking all over the floor. He has a thing for adhesive. I can't close the door to that room because the litter boxes are in there, and I can't move the boxes because the apartment is so small. It concerns me because 1) I don't want him to get sick and 2) I worry about the movers carrying the boxes with some of the tape gone from the bottoms.

I have to go to the laundromat to wash (at least) the curtains from the bedroom and the bath mats before we move. I planned on doing it today, and it makes sense to do it today since there's nothing else for me to do except ironing, but I'm not feeling it. I suppose I will have to make myself go. I will start to get really busy soon, so I should take advantage of this opportunity.

I also have to follow up on the change to my renter's insurance. My insurance agent was supposed to email and mail me a copy of it because we need it at the time we sign the lease, but so far, nothing.

I felt like I was under a lot of pressure to get things done yesterday, but for some reason, I don't feel that way this morning. I know there's a lot to do, but I also feel like I've gotten a lot done.
