our latest meal plan comes today! Wonder what we have for dinner tonight? I can't remember what I ordered. We cook together, no alcohol for me. Hubby drinks but not to excess like me.

Gave myself a mini facial this morning.

our choices were steak, pork or chicken
We chose the Montreal shaved steak hash.
It had 10 items: shaved sirloin steak, montreal spice blend, lemon-garlic crema( which was a dressing), butternut squash, Kale, grape tomatoes, yellow onions, apple cider vinegar, pecans, green onions.
the montreal spice blend featured paprika, coriander, celery seed and dried mustard.
All of the produce is organic which we like.
Jeff and I cooked this together and it turned out great,

we both really liked it.
I think tomorrow will be the pork meat balls.
remaining alcohol free so far this week like I said I would.
Each week that goes by is easier.
although, am I going to constantly think about drinking on the weekend? Like I can't wait for friday to come?
I can't believe that we leave on our trip a week from tomorrow.

I am not ready mentally for this.

The dinner sounds great! Those are quality ingredients :)

Great job continuing to stay AF during the week, Bizi! :)
You are doing a great job keeping that promise to yourself. I don't think it matters that you are looking forward to the weekend or not, although it must be hard :hug::hug:

Is that the Prague trip coming up so soon? Wow! Time flies!

bizi 09-20-2018 08:27 AM

yes kay we leave sept 27th jeffs birthday, arrive in paris for 3 nights then prague for 3 nights. It is a quick trip with lots of travel time. As you have to be at the airports 2-3 hours in advance.
Yes the time has flown by. I started packing one of my carry ons last night. meds and toiletries are done! will be wearing my fanny pack instead of a purse...I know that I will look like a tourist, I don't care.
Waking up clear headed is great!

Bizi

I think as long as you are doing the trivia and wanting the beer
at that its okay to look forward to that on Friday. I would say your
really looking forward to the trivia not the beer. Keep thinking of
it that way.

Now I would say can you may be add either an Saturday or Sunday
alcohol free, or even more moderate would be the answer. I liked
the way you did it last week. I'm honestly hoping you can do it again
this week close to the same way.

Maybe you can start a record now of the new weekends and see if
you can cut it down even one drink each weekend. Now I would
start that after your trip though.

thank you donna.
I won't keep track really like I did years ago when I became obsessed with counting days and drinks etc. It was overwhelming and too much for the forum to handle. So now I am careful about what I post.
thanks again.

I'm happy to read this, but not because I was overwhelmed by your postings. I agree that it was like an obsession, and I think it was really unhealthy for you

I think that you should continue to do what's working for you as long as that's what you are comfortable with because you are doing such a great job sticking with it :hug::hug:

Obviously, it's going to be impossible to restrict yourself during the Paris/Prague trip. So, you should just enjoy yourself. You have been doing very well, so I think you can drink with moderation :hug::hug:

You must be so excited for your trip! But we will miss you while you are gone!
