Lightbulb Re dermatologist visit

The doctor said I have rosacea.
He said it can be caused by not getting enough sleep.

=-=
He probably said a few other things but that is mostly what I remember.

We both talked about sleep a little.

He said that the bumpy rash I had on my hands a few weeks ago was
probably related to the rosacea.

He ordered two creams:
  • Fluocinonide
  • Metronidazole

I might try them first on a healthy area of my body like one of my
forearms in case the cream causes an unfavorable reaction.

Red face

That is interesting that he diagnosed you with rosacea. I always thought it was just on the face. I have the acne kind that flares up with stress.
I hope the creams help.
((((HUGS))))

I use the metazole or however it was spelled. I really like it
its really cooling and its really an nice feel. I haven't ever
had to use it on anything but the face.

I think trying it on your arm first is a great idea, Mari. That's something I have never thought of, but it would have saved me a lot of trouble in the past if I had. You are a smart lady

I hope you don't have a reaction, and the cream helps with your rash

I think it's interesting that you were diagnosed with Rosacea somewhere other than other than on your face, but that's only because I've never hear of it, but I'm not omnipotent. I think that flare ups because of lack of sleep or any other kind of stress makes sense tho

Default Too depressed to deal with the cream.

Thank you, Ladies.

The Rosacea does have a stinging or burning feel.
Possibly his cream would help with the burning
And it would be great if it made my face look normal.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I will try the cream on one section on my face when I am
in the mood to experiment with my face.

.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.
I am so very very very very depressed.
Talking myself into applying ointment is a freaking hassle that I am not up to.
And I do not know what to do if I have a bad reaction.

this seems to help me Aplenzin: Side Effects, Dosage & Uses - Drugs.com ,
lexapro and now gapentin were added. It really seems to work when nothing else worked. I think also that is reducing my appetite

I'm glad that you were able to tell us how you're feeling, Mari (((HUGS)))

I know it can be hard for people to do things when they are depressed, even if it may help them, and I know that you have a long, difficult track-record with medication side effects, so now I can better understand why you haven't tried the cream on the areas that need treatment yet

I'm so very sorry that you are so depressed
Do you have any plans to see the pdoc soon?
Whatever happened regarding the increase in your dose of gabapentin?

I will be thinking of you today, Mari. And I really hope that your mood shifts for the better soon (((HUGS)))
