I was on Lithium for about 7 years. I had a lot of side effects from it, but most people don't. You have to make sure she checks your levels frequently, and absolutely no more NSAIDS. I was on 900mg twice a day, too.
I think you have a friend or family member who has a bad tremor from Lithium? If you develop it, you can stop the med or lower your dose. In my mind, a significant tremor is not okay.

I took Vraylar to break an episode. It was never meant to be permanent. It worked very well for me quickly. The only side effect I had was related to my kidney disease. So, unfortunately, I can never take it again. I got samples from my pdoc.

Is the Vraylar supposed to be temporary or permanent?
Is she keeping you on the Geodon, or taking you off of it?

I know that this transition must be scary (((HUGS)))
But it seems like it's time for a change. I think everything will be okay as long as you stay in close contact with your pdoc.

The dosing for the lithium seems to be 300mg in the morning and 600mg at night, for 5 nights then test.

I am sleeping like sh&t with out the klonipin. She won't prescribe it for me because I drink. sigh

Major med changes are difficult but it sounds like it is time to explore other options. Thinking good thought and sending them your way. Take thinks slow and take good notes so you can explain changes to your pdoc should you need to. One day, one hour at a time.

I think the changes you will be able to work through. I will think
good thoughts about them for you. I don't know about the
high dosage of lithium but can you lower it if it seems to high for
you?

I have very little if any experience with the other drug, so I'll just
say good thoughts. Because I also know everyone is different.
And I also know that if its not the drug for you after a really good
trial run you will let your pdoc know what is going on and then make
a decision about it. And that to me is the only way to do it.

You also have Jeff at home in your corner.
And he can also help tell you if it seems to be affecting you in a bad
way right.

So I talked with my sponsor today: Carol
I told her of my struggles and was honest about my drinking still.
And how I needed to come up with another activity to do instead of stop by fat pats for a couple of beers after work. I like it, it is a decompress time for myself....I sit have a couple of drinks and surf facebook and enjoy myself. This takes about half an hour.

I got my blood drawn this morning for baseline, took 2 sticks, ouch!
Need to pick up my meds from the pharmacy tomorrow and maybe fill a pill box. I think that is a good idea until my meds are settled and the new ones are routine..

Last night...I was able to get to sleep but woke up later and could not get back to sleep....

Sleep issues suck.
I am working tomorrow...5 clients, need to make time for a lunch somehow, maybe go somewhere like burger king! Maybe have me a whopper!

Tomorrow night we are seeing a play which should be good.
Have not seen a play in a while now.
We used to go to them regularly...I would like to go more often.
I am off on sunday....so that is good.
It has been raining off and on so the grass is really plush and constantly needs mowing.
Paul, our yard guy has a hard time keeping up with everybody.
Our yard is growing tassels!
Hubby just called for Downton Abby.
We are finishing up season five soon.
Have really enjoyed rewatching the series.

I am afraid she is trying to taper me off the lamictal too fast.
She is having me go from 400mg to 100mg in less than 2 weeks.
I agreed to this against my better judgement. But now I want to take things more slowly.....what do you guys think?
I am the one at risk for a seizure!!!!
