The air conditioner is needed till the weather changes. SO try to leave it alone till it cools off. Out of curiosity how many books do you read a week. Donna :grouphug: |
the air conditioner could cost me at least 150 a month. Now I have to pay the psychiatrist when I see him. That is 125. Then every month I have to pay him 49 to write a prescription. Then cabs went up a few dollars and I take them to go to the doctors. access a ride isn't reliable and I have no patience for it. Now I have to give Pudge prescription cat food for her stomach and that is 40 dollars an 8 pound bag. Abby eats it too. I have a lot of prescriptions for myself. Like aplenzin costs 20 dollars a month.I pay 169 a month for my supplementary insurance and over 500 a year for my prescription drug plan besides another 80 for another plan I just bought a new cell phone and have to pay 14 dollars a month. I decided I really needed one as a backup. I took my annuity out of stocks into a low paying money market. The market keeps on going up and supposedly will go up a lot higher but I just couldn't take the risk anymore. too much stress.
I read about five or six books a week. Right now I have enough books so I don't have to buy anymore from ebay. I buy in lots and get great prices. I also get free books for my kindle from bookbub.com . I get meals on wheels but am tired of veggie burgers and don't like their food. I just bought dried vegetable soup mix with low sodium from amazon and can make thirty servings. I bought low sodium packets of chicken bullion for more flavoring. I will keep on buying bones and hamburg for Danny because Robert is so good to me. bobby when the apartment gets hot again I will turn on the great air conditioner again. |
Wow, I wish I could read 5 or 6 books a week again. I used to read
a lot in a week. I don't anymore. I really was just curious. I know you talk about finishing and reading new ones, but I lose that in the messages as to if you are on a new one or not. I love reading but got to were it wasn't fun for a while. And right now have hit a low on that. I'm sorry the supplements and things cost so much, that is a lot of money you are right. My husband probably spends that much too on his. I don't take that much of that stuff, just taking my meds is hard enough to remember. Oh and yes, I'd be getting Danny the bones and things too. I agree the cats need the special food too. i just really wondered about the books, I used to read a lot. But haven't for a while. Donna :grouphug: |
I just read that my new blood pressure medication also causes constipation besides fatigue. I wonder if that is why I am feeling more rotten than usual My stomach has been bothering me more. Last night I took a little nap and woke up with nausea and bloating.I have been having more gas and nausea and bloating. Yesterday I mostly had soup and some chicken. I am so irritable and impatient. I also had trouble formulating a question to my bank. that was really scary. I was wondering if I was losing my mind. I think my symptoms also got worse when I went without air conditioning. The day after the colonoscopy I had a sore throat and was coughing all day. Thanks Donna. F@@k the money I will use the ac. It is weird I wake up and am eager to read. It must give me a lot of pleasure.

I think most meds cause constipation lol. At least most of mine do.
I'm really glad that you are going to see the gastro to help with your upper GI issues because they have been going on so long. If he does the upper GI he can check for damage, and maybe he can put you on something like Protonix so you will be more comfortable. You can also talk to him some more about your IBS, and what you can do to help with all the gas and bloating that's been making you so uncomfortable (((HUGS))) But I'm not going to talk about your "constipation" anymore. I know it worries you, but you I feel like I'm banging my head against the wall, so I give up. You are probably tired of listening to me anyway. I had no idea you were such a prolific reader! I used to read a lot like that, but it's extremely hard for me now because I can't concentrate anymore. I'm glad that it's something you enjoy so much! :) It is also something very good for keeping the mind sharp as you age. When I make some phone calls, I try to pre-plan what I will say on the phone, and sometimes I will write things down, so that I don't get flustered. |
reading and my kitty cats give me so much pleasure. I just spoke with my porter and he used to be 480s. He started juicing twice a day and lost over two hundred pounds and feels great. He is going to write down the list for me. He says it clears him out big time. I will try to force myself to try it.
I am so sorry that you have difficulty concentrating now. bobby |
That is why it takes me SOOOOO LONG to read and post on the forum, and I have so much trouble catching up sometimes. It has been going on for a long time, so I have adjusted to it. It's the MS and all the meds.
The juicing sounds interesting. I hope it's healthy. I would just worry about all the sugar in the fruit because of your Diabetes. |
i don't think there is much sugar. I can't imagine juicing cilantro, garlic, onions, ginger turmeric. I won't add kale. He said I could add some apple to it to make it sweeter.

i drink a lot of coffee with half and half. My stomach feels funny when I wake up but once I start drinking the coffee my stomach feels so much better. I am so confused because of the acid I think it should feel worse not much better

I know that when my mom was alive, she had to have her coffee first thing in the morning. It was just something she enjoyed. But even when she didn't feel good, stomach, head or otherwise. The coffee she said, made her feel better. It was because she was so used to having the coffee, and she drank her's black period. Also she loved to have a piece of a sweet roll or something like a donut with it. Do she could dunk it in. And yes, She was a diabetic too. Not much of a piece just one little one. She would then eat her breakfast. She almost always had either one of these two breakfasts: 1. scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage. and piece of toast. 2. French toast just one piece and bacon. She loved bread too. She just made sure she didn't eat the bread as much later in the day. i know you watch what you eat. But I used to marvel at what she loved to eat, and I hope you don't mind my sharing my memory. Donna |
