I just got caught up reading your thread bobby.
It is my understanding that you have diarrhea.
I agree with kay that you are not constipated/
which is hard stool that you cannot pass., The diarrhea is from all of the laxatives that you are taking.

but if i didn't take the laxatives I wouldn't go and then I don't know what would happen. do you know what I mean. If you took a lot of laxatives you too would have diarrhea. what would happen if you totally stopped taking laxatives?

If I stopped taking the laxatives then I would get hard stools(constipated) they would hurt to pass them. I suggest that you take half the laxatives that you are taking. Bobby you hardly ever have formed stools so quit taking the laxatives. take half a dose. See how that goes for a few days. have a bowel movement every other day is normal.
It will take a few days to get the laxatives out of your system and to calm down your bowels. they are used tohaving diarrhea . After all of this time not haveing a normal formed stool it may hurt to have a regular BM.

i have taken less and nothing happens and I become extremely uncomfortable, bloated, gassy and with a stomach ache.
in my book if you go without laxatives then you are not constipated.

Bobby

I think what Bizi was suggesting, you had already started doing.
She just didn't realize you were. You have stopped most if not
all but one of the laxatives for now. And you aren't taking as
much as you can of it if I remember correctly.

You are doing the one that is working for now. And I totally
agree with her, that its going to take you a while to get back
to a solid one were it doesn't hurt, so you may not get to that.

I take Phillips or magnesium citrate. I probably have IBS. Linesse didn't work for me. I was never constipated til I started on all these prescription drugs.
So many of them cause constipation. I have tried many other otc laxatives including miralax and none have worked. Now especially after the stroke I lead a very sedentary life. I am always fatigued. Now my antidepressant and klonopin aren't working that well from all the stress and isolation. I never had bizi's problem. I am getting very anxious about the endoscopy and what he might find. I stopped trying to go a long time ago without because of the lack of results and discomfort. I am also really scared about money. I have been buying supplements to help my stomach and energy and blood pressure and digestive enymes and probiotics.

I don't mean to be disaggreable bobby.
Am I right that you only usually have diarrhea?
The laxatives will give you more of that, not less.
sigh

mag citrate is known to cause gas and you can have explosive diarrhea with that.

mymorgy 07-10-2019 09:18 PM

you are right about mostly diarrhea. unlike you nothing comes out if I don't use a laxative. If that happens after a while I would probably have to see a doctor to get it out besides going through days of extreme discomfort

just paid my credit card. really high. I am going to try not to run my air conditioner too much. really worried about money besides everything else. I am so very depressed and anxious. feel so alone
