I am not going to take depakote anymore. she didn't say to take it. I am going to wait two days before I take equetro. It has a very dangerous side effect of a rash and if that happens I have to see somebody immediately. tomorrow alice is taking me out to dinner. right now I have a bad stomach ache so I want to wait two days before take it. The Rabbi called and he will come over for the last time tomorrow. He said then a female Rabbi will come. I am going to take a bath now to see if my stomach will feel better

maybe you should see a gastro md for
your stomach issues?
It seems like you have been suffering

with stomach problems for quite a while
I wish you felt better.

Also you might try nexium.

It was from the depakote. today is the first day I stopped it. The new pill says one of the side effects could be gastro problems. She offered some pills for my stomach but I said they probably will have side effects too. Maybe I was stupid. I took a warm bath last night and felt a little better. I will buy some nexium. why not. thank you.
I am 75 today. I made it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Lamictal and other meds can cause the same rash that the new med can, many meds can. It is a rare side effect tho. Since I had to restart Lamictal, I have to raise my dose slowly to prevent that. It is something to watch for, but I would not be overly worried :hug::hug:

I'm hoping that this new medication works out much better for you, Bobby (((HUGS)))

I would call your pdoc back and take her up on her offer for the stomach medication. That is your best option rather than c'wing around with OTC's that are expensive and may not work as well. I take (prescription) Protonix, which works much better for me than any of the OTC's did (and my copay is super-cheap)...
You were having stomach problems prior to taking Depakote. I remember that pretty clearly :hug::hug:

I hope your stomach feels better tonight so you can enjoy your dinner out with Alice! :):):)

Thank you. The Rabbi who I like so much is coming over at 11:30 for the last time. What a treat. My stomach doesn't hurt. I didn't take any depakote. Hopefully it will continue not to hurt. I don't know abut the new medication.
If I have more stomach problems I will ask her for you medication.I told you the other time when I lost 18 pounds because I didn't have an appetite it was all related to too much stress. I was sort of happy about how easy it was to lose all that weight. Thank you for telling that other medications can cause the same rash. When she told me I got quite nervous and looked up walk in clinics around me. She said I might lose weight on this medication. I really like her and she knows so much. She usually always wears coral which I love.

thank you so much. My insurance doesn't take equetro. She prescribed another one instead rexlti which increases appetite, can cause indigestion and bloat and weight gain and something with sugar. I wonder if she heard me. I was extremely disappointed. so disappointed that I am not going to take the other pill either. I had no trouble eating the delicious dinner but later my stomach bothered me again. I am trying to figure out if I can afford my old doctor. He would charge me 50 dollars a month for a prescription of klonopin and 175 every three or four months to see him.
