What is the name of the med so I can do some Googling? I don't blame you for being very concerned about the med based on what you have read :hug::hug:

Call your pdoc Monday if you don't intend on taking the medication, and tell her why. From what you have said, she seems pleasant enough, and should be willing to address your concerns. See if she will prescribe something different that doesn't have the same potential side effects. You don't have to change pdocs... just change meds :hug::hug:

When is your next appointment with her?

Did you have a nice birthday?
How was dinner last night?

I had such a nice birthday. Alice and I ate at a tex mex place right near me. the name of the medication is rexulti. I was so disappointed. I don't think I am going back to her. I called two other psychiatrists this morning but they haven't returned my call. my nest appt is on june 5th.

Glad to hear you had a nice birthday!!!!

I am always glad to hear you have friends that care about you.

Bobby

Is Rexult what she is trying to prescribe right now. After the
last one was one your insurance wouldn't allow.

If so I definitely would wait till Kay or someone who reads the
signs weighs, in. I personally think you shouldn't take, but I'm
also not sure I'm reading it correctly.

So Kay, read up on the things, I'm wondering about falling
and stroke side effects. So if I'm reading correctly I'm seeing a
no for Bobby. I'd be seeing a no just for falling for me.

And Bobby, not weight gaining, but the falling, is what I'd tell the
psychiatrist, and that stuff.

Thanks Donna. That drug isn't for me. You know I take diabetic medicine right?

Why does Rexulti make you gain weight?
In any regard, if you end up with bloating as a side effect, this might account for some of your weight gain. Blood sugar changes: For some individuals, antipsychotics can affect blood sugar levels and insulin secretion. ... Fat storage: Rexulti may induce weight gain by causing the body to store more fat than usual.Feb 1, 2018

I didn't realize you took diabetic. But that would make sense
to. I take metformin.

that is interesting. my former psychiatrist whom I saw for four or five years just had me on klonopin and aplenzin, the antidepressant-no anti psychotic

this 75 birthday has sort of been traumatic for me. I have been dwelling on feelings that I have been a failure. I went to bed late and spent the time going over my life.
